To just sit there in silence and imagine all the generations that have walked through before you. I would open old books that hadn’t been touched in decades ...hoping an old brittle letter or someone’s notes, who had long since passed, would fall into my lap. Oh the history. First time I ever come across this channel thanks to KZbin recommending this video and I can't stop loving all that beautiful architecture. My university kept adding more modern looking buildings and it's great from a technology standpoint (and earthquake safety) but I always felt like I missed out on just being surrounded by this type of architecture. If my university's library was that beautiful, I might have actually sat in it for longer than it took to make some photocopies.

I read Know My Name last year, and it broke my heart. The writing is powerful, and the tone holds your attention. I also listened to the audiobook at the same time (narrated by Miller herself), and it was a personal experience. I had to take breaks because of the many triggers, but what I felt at the end was absolute empathy for her, and respect that she fought so bravely in a court of law.The edition I read had kintsugi on it; I love it when covers carry a profound meaning. (Also, I'm so glad you're back!)
