Sierra Games - A Hero's Journey Begins

In 1989, Sierra On-Line released a new adventure that brought together both role-playing and traditional adventure game elements.
In 'Hero's Quest - So You Want to be a Hero', the player is a graduate of the Famous Adventurer's Correspondence School and is just starting out on his journey to become a Hero.
The player can improve their abilities and skills throughout the game allowing them to progress from an inexperienced adventurer to the Hero of Spielburg.
