Hi I have discovered that my father is from Sierra Leone and I believe Temne. I know his given name was Remi Farouk. I have searched so many records but can not find him. Can anyone please help me. @@mohamedakimkamara1935 hi and thank you for replying. I knew my father as William Davies, born 1925 in Freetown, Sierra Leone. He came to England in the late 1940s, as I was born in 1952. I have been told that he once told my half-sister that his name was Remi ??? Farouk/Farooke. He was a lorry driver when he came to Birmingham. Also his mother was a hat seller originally from Liberia, and his father sold watermelon. And that’s as much as I know. If you are able to signpost me, I would greatly appreciate your help.
