I love Sierras Madre. I was there last April this year. I love walking around the main town because it made me feel like America in the 70’s when it was my first time to come to the United States as a kid. I also love the warm hospitality of the people that greets you as you walk by. From the Philippines 🇵🇭 Mabuhay Sierra Madre 🇺🇸 !

I am a caregiver now in my 60’s and I care after a nice senior up here and immediately feel in love with her and her house Shout out to Olive Buchanan love you 😘

So back in the 70's Mary's was a market, not a cafe. I was dating Mary's granddaughter and spent many weekends up there in that beautiful spot. Just wonderful memories. People used to drive up Brookside Lane not knowing it turns into a footpath. They'd have to turn around and drive back down to Woodland. We'd observe this and comment, "tourists".

My friend grew up there. Charming little place. I moved out of California back in 2018 (as did my friend) we miss 45 Bean Town Café, heard it closed. We also miss the East Alegria Street Halloween Gala, I met a celebrity there one year (he loved my costume).
