Great vid. Brings back memories. Late 70’s early 80’s I remember going up there (I was a boy) with my parents and the Redding Rat Pack, off road club. Back when my moms CJ5 was average and my dads 71 bronco was considered big, and huge tires were 33’s 😀 Great to see yall still wheeling the same trails.

Wow! You probably have some awesome stories and memories. I'm hoping our kids and grand kids will be able to enjoy the same adventures. Thank you so much for watching.

It's nice that you can camp at Lost Lake without being battered by the wind. On my last trip up there, I saw whitecaps on that little lake. Indeed, the high Sierra season will close out soon, but the Death Valley region is beckoning.

Yes! We are talking about getting back to death valley too.

Great Snowmobiling in the winter , spent many a day/ night ridding all that area ! Nipple peak is a nice hike from lost lake's , great view from the top of the nipple 👍

I didn't even know there was a hike up Nipple Peak! That's good to know. We see a lot of snowmobiles up there in the winter. That seems like something I'd love to try.

Awesome vid, as usual! That whole area is amazing. Glad you had a good trip!

Thanks Michael! Yeah we still have a lot more to explore in that area. Not sure if we will get to it before the first snow, but it sure would be fun if we could make it up there even with some snow on the ground.

I’ve camped in that exact spot. I’m sure you know this as an OnX guy, but if you drive about 20 minutes further on Forestdale road, you’ll hit Deer Valley trail. That’s an absolute blast.

Yup! Deer Valley and Blue lakes! 😄

Looked like a nice time, nice video! I was there for a day, first week of September and then a couple weeks ago in Bronco and they lowered the lake recently. Snows a coming!

Yeah won't be long for snow hopefully. I'd like to get up there early next year.

did you fix the clunking front noise?
@GoldensGoneWheelin2 ай бұрын
I have not. It's been elusive. I did get the jeep up in the air for a complete check of all suspension components. One thing I did discover is the plastic shield that keeps debris out of the axle tube on the right side is missing. I first noticed this after a long winter of snow wheeling, but I don't think that is the issue. It may just be the FAD clicking. It only happens in 4wd, and primarily while descending on the brakes.
