This is a well-done video of a beautiful area. I checked Purple Air, and surprisingly, all the sensors in that area are in the single digits. Today's wind must have blown any smoke to the east. Looking forward to part 2.

Great videos! I’ve done a ton of exploring in Lakes Basin but I’m not familiar with that mine that you found off the side of the trail. Do you have GPS coordinates for that by chance?

Is this trail available on gaia? It looks amazing and i eould love to get out there with my dog and girlfriend! We have a gladiator and are getting a camper installed somewhere around november!
@GoldensGoneWheelin4 ай бұрын
When I look at Gaia, it looks like parts of it are labeled the Lost Sierra 4x4 trail. However, that seems to take some different trails in some areas. That is the same general area. With onX it is clearly called out as the Deer Lake/Gold Valley trail. There are many trails in the area to explore.
@colbywood13844 ай бұрын
@@GoldensGoneWheelin I'll have to take a look, I grabbed the trail head coordinates from a previous comment too. I'm in the Sacramento area so decently close to go exploring!

5 minites into the video and no mention of the trail jead name or general area of where the trail os at. Is there a reason y u can't tell the viewers what trail head IS? Or am I expected 2 watch the entire video on the off chance u mention it?
@KirbyLouis4 ай бұрын
got a gpx file/waypoints/FR numbers?
@GoldensGoneWheelin4 ай бұрын
Hey Kirby, the main trail in this video is the Deer Lake / Gold Valley trail. Trailhead is just west of the little town of Johnsville, 39.75852, -120.69474 which is just west of Graeagle. You can also access the trail from Gold Lake 4x4 trail which is more technical.
