Thank you for taking the time to produce such educational videos. Helps greatly in developing shooting skills and understanding fault conditions. Nice to see somewhere colder than the north of Scotland!

These new versions of your videos are very good information and I like the part that points out if you move a small amount how much it's off at the target. That you show the correct way also that correct and incorrect are not to far apart lol

Excellent and important video! Not alot of endless unnecessary bla bla bla and only that it self should be worth a Nobel prize or something I think. You convey much with few words. Making it short fun simple and reasonable. Exactly what I like about your videos. Hope you made it to the ferry. Stay safe mate!

Thanks! Didn't really notice until you said so. I'm mostly concerned about the comments and seeing if content needs a certain direction or if some subjects needs better explaining. Yes, should break that barriere shortly. Or just start using the "subscriber techniques" that is recommended to grow channels. As it is, not concerned about that. It is what it is.

Hello Mr.Haugland, I saw that you opted for a semi/light weight profil for your barrel. Have you observed any decrease in accuracy or any shifting after 10-15 shots ? I’m sorry if this question have already been asked, thanks !

Very useful as usual :) Do you apply any degree of pressure ("loading") against the bipod? Or do you just bring it back in the shoulder pocket with your support hand with minimum to none forward pressure at all?
@THLR
@THLR 4 жыл бұрын
The "loading" is no more than metal stopping againt metal and enough surface friction between shoulder/buttpad that the rifle doesn't fall down. The amount of pressure demonstrated in one of the 2020 episodes (this series) but I cannot find which one just now.

Excellent memory jogger, thank you Thomas. Do you prefer the ear defenders over in-ear ones ?
@THLR
@THLR 4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I get sweaty and sore with in-ear ones. Add a silicone cushion replacement/hygiene kit and the over-ear ones will protect better. On a public range, I add in-ear foam.

Another excellent tutorial 👌. Any thoughts on the benefit of ski feet on the bipod to enable the rifle to recoil backwards in a straight line and not move backwards and perhaps vertically with other feet? Also, do you have any experience of using a stock monopod rather than a bag to reduce some of the variables? Just curious before spending money on both myself ☺️. Thanks Dylan.
@THLR
@THLR 4 жыл бұрын
Not really, never experimented with bipod feet. I tried mono-pods when they were new and I was not able to get much use of them. Since then I have never paid attention to what's on the market. I have registered new monopods (AI & Sako) that at least look a lot better.

Hi Thomas. I wonder if you determined the precision of your rifle in the ideal conditions with human factor minimized. If not then how do you know that the group size is due to your error? Maybe it is due to the rifle inconsistency - e.g. barrel, bullet, etc. Moreover, the state of the barrel bore changes after each shot because of the deposit left by bullet and burned powder - I call it a volatile bore state. The conclusion is that you cannot be more consistent than your rifle and determination of the shooting rig consistency is crucial if you want to reduce the number of WTFs. Thanks.
@THLR
@THLR 4 жыл бұрын
More on that episode. I understand what you're saying, but short answer is no. I am more oriented against accuracy than precision as this is a "killing rifle". The question for me is always "is this a safe shot or not". So I have never bothered to whittle it down to the rifles' inherent precision potential as one would for competition such as benchrest or F-class. I am interested in what accuracy I can consistently deliver (all "normal" errors added to the rifle precision) and only treat shots outside this expectation as shooter error, be that perception or technique. More on that in next episode where I show the numbers, draw the vectors, identify the errors and remove them.

Love the new format. Reminds me of your old vids. The sounds effects are a riot! What happened to the THLR retical use? Just messing with a new scope?
@THLR
@THLR 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, will be revisiting a lot of the basic themes from the old vids too. Got tired of lugging an extra pound for hunting, so will try this for the hunting. I also have a smaller, lighter Leupold 5 HD that may or may not receive higher status in my wardrobe. I rarely seems to need the twilight performance for red deer.

Er planen å holde eller klikke for vind? hvorfor linje på gongen i stedet for feks dot?
@THLR
@THLR 4 жыл бұрын
@TH1NOR
@TH1NOR 4 жыл бұрын
@@THLR holder ca cm for vind da? Har jo ikke noe referanser i retikkel på blaseren.
@THLR
@THLR 4 жыл бұрын
