I would like to see a video on the Mustang and the mods you did to it. I see it still has the PA inspection sticker on it. Nice job

I still have temporary PA plates on the Tbird, I didn’t see the need to register it in NY until spring. Next summer I will do a video on the Mustang. I should be interesting as I owned that car since it was new. Lots of modifications done to it over the years and it earned a few trophies at Carlisle Ford events over the years.

I drove a TBird SC like that for quite a few years. It had 180K on the clock when I sold it back around 2004. It still ran great with no smoke or weird noises. Mine was a 5 speed stick. It was white with a blue cloth interior. No sunroof. On the radio, I would check the antenna before anything else. One interesting thing about that radio -- it had AM Stereo capability. I was living in the Easton PA area when I owned the car, and we had one such AM Stereo station in town. It worked. Stereo indicator would come on, and the music was definitely in stereo. I was very happy with the car. It was very quiet and comfortable, and fast. BTW, there is a special tool to get those hard lines off from the blower, so it might be a good idea if you research that now, before you actually need it.

I really would have preferred a manual, but there were none available while I was looking (at least not as nice as this one). Nice to hear that your Tbird was very dependable - that one worry that I have is it having major issues and not having parts available. I did some more investigating on the radio, also thinking it may be the antenna. Unfortunately the antenna is working fine. For now I did replace it with a vintage looking new radio that has Bluetooth. Thank for the tip on the tool!

Nice walk through. Dale loves to see cars that are special, unique. Walk through on the Mustang coming? Kat & Dale

Mustang is put away for the winter (so it the Tbird too). Dale, you have to wait until next summer. I will do a video on it then.

I’ve always loved the looks of the 11th generation (2002-2005) Thunderbird convertible 2-seat coupes but I think they’re fairly rare. I wonder if the radio problem is an antenna issue? The car may have an antenna integrated into the windshield or rear window which could have cracked or separated from the lead to the radio. I enjoyed the tour!

Thank you. We sold our 2002 Thunderbird convertible to buy our Airstream. That car was a real head turner, all black with red interior. Where ever we went everyone looked at it. I thought it was an antenna issue as well. Since filming the video, I broke down and bought an aftermarket radio (that looks vintage). The antenna works fine on the new radio, I think it’s an internal issue with the OG radio.
