This is great to watch. I've raised worms but never sifted to grab casings and cocoons. Thanks for teaching me something new Glen!!

I had no clue I needed to sift out worm cocoons lol. I am clueless so this series is great for me. Thanks to you and Glen for teaching me as always! I have so much to learn.

Thanks Lisa. I am glad that you are learning at the same time as me! 😅 Sometimes I will feed the worms but only after I ask... Take care, Annette🌺💛

Hi Ray! Glen got those green bucket screens at a gold panning supply store in Cranbrook. How’s the weather up there?

I can see the "Not worrying about the odd cocoon falling through." This seems to bee the type of thing where, if I got 80% of them I'd bee happy. If I got 90% I'd bee ecstatic. But, if I got 100%, that would bee Obsessive-Compulsive.

Hi there. I find using a 3/16” screen that I get more cocoons.

I have hundreds of tiny wisps. How do you sift them safely so they don’t get hurt?
@TheCowEmporium Жыл бұрын
Just be as gentle as you can. You could wait until they get bigger and then try to sift the cocoons out every 21 days so you won’t have as many wisps.

@@TheCowEmporium thank you so much.. I’m learning as i go. This was helpful!

I suppose you can have two 1/4 screens together to get you around 1/8.
@TheCowEmporium10 ай бұрын
If you lay them so they are overlapping it may help. Good luck!

What are those bins called that you use to sift into?
@TheCowEmporium Жыл бұрын
Hi there! Those are mortar mixing trays that we got at Home Depot. They are very inexpensive and super handy! Thanks for the question. Take care, Annette🌺

Where do you get the screens?
@TheCowEmporium10 ай бұрын
Hi. We got the round screens from a gold panning store but they are available online. Glen likes a 3/16 screen to sift the cocoons. Take care.
