Very professional and spot on with the warnings for head space 👏

You can also use a 1-1/16" 12 point wrench or crowfoot for that jam nut.

That's not too bad. 15-20 minutes and you're good to go. I didn't know they were that easy. I wish somebody would make some aftermarket barrel extensions. I bet I can recreate that barrel vise. My wheeler vise is halfway there already.

Great content my barrel is being shipped from you all and I can’t wait I am so excited. I did look in to it a bit and the comment made by @FC2ESWS is in fact true you can use a 1-1/16” 12 point box wrench in place of the Midwest industries hand guard wrench

Thanks for the video. Very detailed and informative. Btw, the Sig in their manual says to use the action wrench, is that necessary? or i can just handheld and torque it down as in the video?
@Serenityindailylife Жыл бұрын
He didn't torque the barrel back into the action. He said it in the video. If you feel you can get a good torque reading hand holding it, go for it. I had to change a barrel on a sr-25 in the field. Almost anything can be done if you can get the receiver stable enough.

Did you remove the firing pin/extractor/ejector from the bolt before headspacing?
@FC2ESWS Жыл бұрын
You should warn that people are breaking that dowel pin if they do the nuts in this order. You need to loosen that jam nut first while the barrel nut is still on. If you try it afterwards, the only thing holding that barrel extension from spinning is that dowel pin.
@DrewMonge Жыл бұрын
The jam nut is the one that requires the 1 1/16 12point crowfoot, correct?
@FC2ESWS Жыл бұрын
@@DrewMonge yeah it's the smaller nut. The bigger one uses an AR armorer's tool.

Well being we have people on here that believe this is complicated you might want to make sure they know you need go no go gauges for the caliber there installing being with the .470 bolt face you can go with 22cm 6cm 243 6.5cm or 308 but will need gauges for what caliber barrel your installing
