@@LLpros the two best DA/SA pistols ever made are the SIG P-series and the CZ75, CZ85 & CZ97 models. The SIG is the better fun in my viewpoint especially as an EDC. The trigger is better, supply chain is better and more armorer's are available for SIG. My better half loves her CZ75, she was a policewoman in Czech Republic. So she will never part from her CZ75 and I'll never part from my P220.

a Function check is a dry performance test of the weapons features Prior to using live ammo. another thing is the SIGP220R is a good gun but the springs need to be reworked after every 9,000-10,000 rounds it's an old school all Metal pistol and so it has some Idiosycrocies but it's extremely accurate, fun to shoot, and has robustness about it. it's overall a good gun I have no issue with it for the most part but I did have to buy new recoil springs for mine and that upset me a Lil bit because it hadn't been shot a whole lot. if it came down to carrying a duty gun? I would go with my GLOCK 21SF as a better option but like I said the SIGP220R is fun to shoot a great-range gun./ competition gun.

Bro is literally taking that hearing damage straight to the face. This is a free country and all, but noise cancellation is not hearing protection. Please reconsider purchasing real earplugs, or maybe a set of sordins.

Like I told the last guy who said something about this, nobody in this world, except me, knows where my own hearing stands, and since this is A free country like you stated, I will continue to do my own thing. You are also free to do anything you would like to do when it comes to ear protection.

Homie an argument can be made that doing this once and a while at least, is good. If you ever need to use your weapon for self defense is too fire you weapon and have it hurt your ears so bad it takes you out of the fight long enough to lose. Before I started carrying for work, I had some dumb blond in a dress and heels crack off a shot with a 357 when the range was cold, it was so close I couldn't hear for three days. I would of gone after them myself but the range officer handled it. You would be amazed how disorienting the wrong round can be going off

I know you said in another comment you have the elite, but it could be very possible you could of bumped the slide stop and caused the slide lock back on you. Not to undermine your skills but I have had two 220s and a few other sigs and anytime I let someone who shot glocks, shoot my sigs they always have issues with them riding or hitting the slide stop as they shot. I have never specifically heard of this with the sig mags but I have heard the complaint about the pro mags

You are probably right, I try to never blame the gun unless the issue occurs multiple times. I have the Legion 226 and the slide release is much smaller on those so I prob bumped the 220s on accident.
