I was thinking of the new S&W comp carry, not the all metal. Instead I got the Fuse. I love it. Easy to conceal. I do wish that I could get my Vortex Defender ST on the Fuse. Not a fan of the compact view, but understand it.

The compact only holds 15. The Fuse is sort of a full size pistol in my opinion.

I’m a few hundred rounds into my metal carry comp and I love it. I was a smith guy way back, went Sig for a while and almost got the new 365 legion but opted for the metal carry comp instead. I do think the Sig may be an easier carry but I’ve carried larger than both and the smith, to me, is still not huge. I absolute love it so far and felt like it was a more solid option at the time.

@@averagemarksman I have no problem with carrying any full size gun in the appendix position, with good belt and good holster. driving a lot is part of my job so I do sit a lot. The Macro is about 3/4 shorter than the M&P and 6-8 oz lighter which is fine but that would not stopping me from carrying the M&P metal.

@@averagemarksman Off topic Nick, you know how much I wanted the Prodigy comp to work and I got very disappointed after seeing your review, however, in couple of months a Florida based company name Fusion are coming out with 1911 double stack, which also takes Glock magazine. Check it out and let me know what you think. No MIM parts, 3.5-4 trigger, steel frame etc.

Not a fair comparison. The Metal Carry Comp wins that every time. Trigger, accuracy, muzzle rise, and tracking.

Even though the M&P is heavier, both grips are full size grips to accommodate 17/20 rounds so when you carry(Appendix) the most important thing is to conceal the grip

I couldn’t appendix carry a metal comp and be nearly as active as I am every day. It’s to heavy and to bulky once holstered for me.

@@averagemarksman duty gun for sure. Fuse might be more comfortable for concealment but the carry comp will be overall more accurate and better shooter

I will get a fuse like another comment when the fuse comes with a comp I have the xmacro comp now no need to get fuse yet if I get another pistol soon it will be prodigy comp from Springfield
