Sig Sauer P226R .40 Police Trade-in

I purchased a P226 trade-in on gunbroker from www.kingsfirearmsonline.com and these are my first impressions of it.

As to frame rail wear, the color (black) coat can be worn off, no problem so long as the anodizing (the hard part of the finish) remains. "Silver" or white metal can show with the anodize intact. The test is to use an ohm meter. Anodizing is an insulator and will not conduct, whereas, if the anodize is worn through to the soft aluminum alloy beneath, the meter will show as a short. Put one probe on the retaining pin for the upper leg of the sear spring, then check any spots of concern with the other probe.

Did you ask for the e2 grip or did they just pick one for you?
