Got to meet up with John Hollister at the Sig Sauer Academy and demo a full auto rattler. There's lots of b-roll comparing different side folding SBR and sub gun systems. The Sig Sauer MCX Rattler dwarfs all of them with an overwhelming amount of Firepower, concealability, and functionality.

I keep hearing how the .300 blk won’t replace the role of PDWs like the MP5SD, MP7 or P90 because it’s not as controllable in full auto and you can’t put rounds on target as effective. You seem to have handled it just fine.

you're hearing wrong. Tier 1 in US has used the rattler to replace MP5, MP5SD, MP7, and P90 ALREADY. CIA Dropped the P90. Secret Service dropped the P90. Navy and Army T1 are running rattlers.

@@ANRDesignLLC good to know. Goes to show that you should always take comments on forums with an extra grain of salt. I gave the claims some credits because many of them were made by retired service man. I’ve come to the conclusion that the only advantage a PCC can offer over a short .300 blk is being extremely compact like a TMP or a USW. Even it were true that the full auto .300 blk is uncomfortable that wouldn’t make a lot of a difference for a civilian like me with no access to selective fire guns. On the subject of recoil, in theory a DI AR-15 with the same barrel length, with a full sized BCG, should have more reciprocating mass than the MCX, right? Considering the better reliability, the only disadvantages of a pistol system compared to a DI seems to be little more weight, little less accuracy and not being as good for sound suppression (blowback seems to vary from one manufacturer to the other). I’ve decided to go the .300 BLK route for home defense and narrowed down to four offerings with a folding stock: MCX, FM-15 (DI), CMMG Dissent (DI) and PSA JAKL (piston).

Running on the + setting I assume subsonic/suppressed. I was blowing some non crimped primers on factory ammo running supers suppressed on the - setting. Gunsmith said run + setting to lower chamber pressure with supers. Running a Dead Air SandmanS. Great pistol.
