I finally purchased myself a rattler 300 blackout & I’ve had it about 2 weeks now & I finally got the courage to learn about her insides lol. Thanks for sharing lol definitely nothing like an average AR15 forsure! Lol

You're an idiot mall ninja who clearly knows nothing about guns. The bolt is similar to an AR15, the charging handle is IDENTICAL. Please don't have kids.

Just a FYI. That lifter block that holds the two guide rods springs on the rail is simply held on by spring tension against two dovetail joints. Comes off pretty easy. Replaced mine on my MPX with a NLA aftermarket block. Plan to do my Rattler next also

Great video, thought this was just like the AR, and hit every problem you did on my new MCX, had trouble putting the firing pin back in, and you had that covered. Very helpful!!! Did you ever find a good charging handle? Every place I look has a “not compatible with MCX Rattler” warning

How do you remove the flash hider? I tried unscrewing it and I can’t get it to budge.
@armandgun4 жыл бұрын
Tha Real Iron Man you might need to heat it up. Sig uses a locking compound on some of the threaded parts, flash hider included. If you’re struggling I would recommend playing it safe and taking it to a gunsmith. You could also use a reaction rod to get more leverage on it.

What are those 2 torx screws underneath the hand guard near the mag well end. Do we need to loosen that up for the hand guard to slide out easily?
@62dobie4 жыл бұрын
Marc Bautista, no. Those are for changing the barrel.

Also btw. I'd not bother with the 556 Rattler. It's very loud and ya don't get any benefit of the 556 with that barrel length. 300 is the sweet spot. In fact the military only acquired the 556 variant for training only cause they want to be able to use thier 556 blanks and blank muzzle devices on rifles for training only. If ya want a 556 get the regular Virtus with longer barrel
@NandDhar Жыл бұрын
So what you're saying is i should buy another one in .300 blk this time. Got it 👍
@hughgrection3052 Жыл бұрын
@NandDhar I would. 556 starts getting 22 magnum level ballistics fast when short. They won't let you change flash hiders on the 556 rattlers as they're built in. They did that for safety I think so people didn't put cans on them. They say it's so ya don't kill your can with the blast level it has by being so short. But personally I think it's because of the dwell time of the setup. In other words of you add more barrel length (which is basically what a can does) with the gas set to open the bolt alot sooner because it's made to be so short, that the bolt opens too early and that's not good. You can get out of battery's, torn cases, and overall an explosion going off near your squishy face lol. I've seen people getting them shipped off and modified tho to put cans on them. If I did it I'd make sure to use a 30 cal can so it can bleed more pressure off while being fired. I've not seen the results yet of these modified rigs tho. But yeah the 300 can be suppressed just fine and be short yet still be very lethal, and quiet. More power too. But.. if ya wanna buy a shorty 555 model for just cheap practice and to use a 22 conversion that's fine. I kinda want one to do 22 with. Ammo is expensive. So I don't rule them out totally. They have their uses. Also the 300s sell better. So you won't have an issue finding a buyer when the time comes. Ideally you'll want to buy a 300 virtus shorty or taccops in 300 tho as they're only like 2 inches or less longer barrels. Then later if ya wanna get a longer barrel it's an easy and cheaper process to just swap the barrels. The Rattler would need alot more parts changed to use longer barrels as they're made to be as small as possible. Hopefully that gives an idea of how you should navigate buying one. Good luck bud

What brace are you using. Mine came with the flag style the rotates and I hate it.
@TheSkaterkid84 жыл бұрын
The SBR version of the gun can come with that stock but since you have the pistol version that’s why you have that flag one that rotates (I have it too) not much of a fan either
