For your information, water fountain s are their close to water garden ,all prescose are there you have to climb up the spiral staircase. It's always better that you have a guide or do some research beforehand. All those staircases are marble . Their are three gardens. Water garden, rock garden, and bolder garden. At least if you have inquired from the ticket office they could have guided you . Sorry that you mis everything after paying the ticket price. At archaeological sites, always make sure you have correct information before starting your adventure You mis prescose, mirror wall. Water fountain s and many more Sigiriya stands as the first ever proper landscape palace in the ancient world. Have a nice journey
