Your videos and editing are so moving and well done. You guys are the biggest reason me and some of my friends still get out to fly fish whenever we can. Don’t ever stop! Looking forward to your guiding this upcoming summer.

That's all great to hear and hope to see you next season :) There's some amazing waters and trout out there. If you have interest, our long-form vids share a heap of the neat stuff you don't see here, over at Patreon www.patreon.com/jensenflyfishing :)

Ain't that the thing of life?! Live it while you can while the body allows the how we're living it, but seasons of life dictate a few things eventually, certainly. Glad you're enjoying the shares :)

Wow what an amazing place guys . Good to see such good water quality on that side of the world , we are fighting that challenge everyday in good old NZ

Aw man, we hear you re: NZ. In 18 full seasons there it has been gutting to watch the changes. We fell in love with the waters and realized we got the last decade of what was the golden era of Kiwi fishing. The past 8 - 10 years have been nothing short of a parade of decimations, many so pointless. The only thing to point out is that it isn't unique to NZ as many of the world's trout waters are seeing mass changes - the greater impact and values of society steam rolling them one by one.

Great idea, Dave, having a big bushy rod tip indicator attached when hiking. It lets you see where the rod tip is so not to poke it into anything and break it. Cheers!

That sucker was on there from the previous day's hunting, hiking & prospecting... funny I didn't swap it out before hiking in 🤣

great video as always. But on a different subject, I have always wondered why you both use a right hand retrieve on your reel as a right hander caster ? It still means you have to switch hand to reel in and to switch again when neting the fish. I personaly see only disadvantages to this, am I missing something ? Thanks !

THANK you so much for the support! :) Gestures like this help us along the way - very appreciated :)

Thank you. Do what's natural to you, it's what's best. Forcing anything causes far more severe issues and costs fish - just in reel errors alone. Cheers

Still surprises me that you walk with tips forward?
@jensenflyfishingАй бұрын
every situation is different - do what's needed
@jeffporter4894Ай бұрын
@@jensenflyfishing OK, but I was always told to walk with reel forward because WHEN you trip (and you will) it will save your tip. 😁
@jensenflyfishingАй бұрын
@@jeffporter4894 as with all things in life, absolutes cause bigger problems. Hence - do as the situation requires because the opposite to what you said is a often true. :)
