its such a big flex when tiffany can sight read a piece better than you could play it after practicing for months. honestly what a pianist
@TiffanyPoonpianist4 жыл бұрын
Many pianists can sightread like this... I'm just "shameless" enough to show it on KZbin. I'm not special...
@Thelifreak954 жыл бұрын
I think it just shows her vast knowledge of the Composer (and of course, the piano in general). I think, once you have a decent amount of knowledge of the piano and composer, you start to see the score more like "shapes" than single notes. By which I mean, fast (staggered) arpeggios, scales, etc. just become "ok, staggered arpeggio c#minor, 3 times, descending, starting from c#3 with pinky - Because that is something that's very easy to read and if done regularly by the composer, something he "would" do. However, there may be exceptions to these rules and if the composer does something he wouldn't normally do, you can see that even Tiffany kind of crashes at these points. I might be totally wrong here, but since I've started (really) playing about 1,5 years ago I just approach new pieces like that and usually this works out really well.
@MrArturoPM4 жыл бұрын
i totally agree with the fact that to improve your sight reading skills, you need just to sight read, it's a very tedious process, but i can ensure that i have improved my sight reading a lot since then. It's not as good as Tiffany's, but I feel proud of myself, because i can get pieces faster than before

my thoughts when practising a new piece " dammit" "dammit" " off course I messed up a c major scale" "what key are we in again?" "dammit" "crushed note something or another with a flat and accidental, dunno play a squished chord, anything 3 notes!" "I need to hear what this passage sounds like" - opens youtube hears a recording by a 10 year old kid quits for the day
