I am really going to miss this team! I know many of them will return next year and some new faces will be added but several of these ladies will be on to other things in their lives. Haley Lee, Alex Storako, Kinzie Hanson, Rylie Boone, Grace Green, Alynah Torres and of course, Grace Lyons; you will be missed and in our hearts forever!! You will be in our prayers as well and I can’t help but wonder who the next spiritual leader of the team will be in Grace’s absence.

Apparently you don’t know much about sports. Who do you think trained and motivated these players all season long? Patty Gasso is in the Hall of Fame for a reason. She brought softball from California to Oklahoma 29 years ago and turned the irrelevant Sooners team into the best in the country time and time again, and then this year she led the greatest team to ever play the game into yet another WCWS Championship. Many records were broken by this current amazing team due to their athleticism AND by their guidance and training from the amazing coaching staff at OU. JT Gasso and Jen Rocha and the rest of the coaching staff do not get the recognition they deserve! It takes all of the team members working as one to have great teams in any sport. OU recruits some of the best players in the country every year because Coach Gasso and her staff ,through their hard work and vision, have made OU into the premier school for softball. Coaches definitely deserve props for all the hard work they put in year after year. Why do you think there’s coaching awards in every sport? To say that coaches don’t deserve recognition because they aren’t on the softball players roster is one of the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!

@@valortiz6799 I agree 100% and then some. Coaches are not only motivators; leaders would also be appropriate. Patty Gasso has brought this program from practically nowhere to a national powerhouse. Let's also give credit to Rocha, JT Gasso & everyone else on that staff. Equipment managers, it all has to work together. You succeed as a team, you fail as a team.
