Dude this is so inspirational actually. I don’t have the craziest gear. Only two actual camera lights and some other equipment but watching this and seeing how you used your crew and gear to make some crazy good looking shots without breaking the bank really got me to wanna make something. And honestly I might right now…. Who knows ;)

Nice work! Don't take it as criticism for me 3:18 to 3:22 looks more NETFLIX (layers and contrast) rest looks great, but for a night scene, it is a bit over-lit for my taste. The Wandering DP has a great breakdown of movie scene layers and contrast between light and dark.
@JimmyBlanco2 ай бұрын
I came here looking for this comment! I agree it looked better before the bounce, it sold the night time effect, if I were gaffer I'd cut the bounce down about 60% if needed at all
@SightseeingStan2 ай бұрын
Thanks Kevin! Really appreciate the feedback. You've got a good point there! In the final grade though the image is pulled darker. The bounce is just to make sure the shadows aren't completely crushed. But in hindsight, that bounce could have been at lower output yep! 👍

such a good BTS video. As a viewer i would have gladly stayed to watch the end result at the end of this video. As a creator, it might be a good strategy to test and see how avd does, of course you’d need to hint at it in your hook. Anyways very enjoyable and informative video, i would buy an indie solo film making course from you if you.
@SightseeingStan2 ай бұрын
Thanks so much man, really happy to read this! Actually, I never thought about the avd like that. I just wanted to release the film on its own and at the time of releasing this BTS it wasn't finished yet! But it will be up in the next days! 🙌

Amazing!!!!!! I’ve been using an fx30 for the past 6 months (my first ever camera) with a sigma 18-50, can you recommend another lense which could potentially step up my game?? Any help would be greatly appreciated 👌 Subbed 👊
@SightseeingStan2 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot Johnny! And thanks for subbing! 🙌The FX30 is a great camera, hope you enjoy it! I think the 18-50 is already a pretty versatile lens to begin with. You could possible look into something more towards the telephoto side or perhaps even a prime lens, like an 85mm or so.
