Regardless of the Sigmadrive margin for error you should always do a shaft alignment when replacing drive line items. It's always a bit painful to watch youtube videos as you know it's after the fact. Saw the first video on the install and found myself yelling Loctite! Great videos though, clear shots of the install and owning your mistakes for the win. Thanks!

Thank you for the feedback. I completely agree with you. I should have included the adjustment. Since I’m not really a handyman, I try to follow the instructions step by step. And there was nothing about Loctite mentioned there. It’s obviously logical that it should have been included, which I realized afterward. Regardless, Sigmadrive was very service-oriented and helpful throughout the entire process. So, of course, it’s my responsibility, even though it wasn’t stated in the manual. I probably should have thought a bit more for myself as well…

@@SYFryd I'm surprised they didn't recommend Loctite for everything, I'm a mechanic and if it's one thing I've learned, if it can vibrate loose it will. Especially with my little boats Yanmar 1GM10 which happens to be a Swedish made Marieholm 26. Greeting from the Pacific North West!

@@tangeman1416 Thank you so much for the feedback. I will definitely use Loctite from now on for all such points where screws might come loose. How exciting that you’re in the Pacific! We have started our journey towards the Pacific as well, but we’re taking our time. My wife and I have retired, and our plan is to spend the next 5-10 years sailing. Best regards, Ulf, still in Europe

Fornøyd? Ble det en markant forbedring?
@SYFryd2 жыл бұрын
