What's your favourite landscape photography location in Britain, and what lens would you (or did you) use to shoot it?

Gotta love the Dales - good recovery for the last shot

Traveling all over the Uk as I do there are loads of great locations some of them are quite well hidden. I personally couldn't choose it doesn't matter whether you're in Northern Ireland, Wales Scotland or England they all have great locations for landscape photography. The Yorkshire Dales is a good start I hope you enjoy your travels.

Can't wait to see what you do in South Wales, this could be a great series. Tim will love the waterfalls we have down this way... and I might be biased but I reckon our waterfalls are the best..lol. Been thinking of investing in some Sigma Glass for my Panny S5.... Loved the image at 16:48, gorgeous light n shadows giving nice depth to the image. atb Alan

Ahh thanks Alan! I don't know South Wales well - if you have a suggestions for locations I'd really appreciate it. The next video on the Peak District is going live very soon! Cheers, Tim

Loved the limestone paving shot. And the waterfall looks interesting. I'm in the dales next week so I'll be checking that out for sure.

Thanks so much Alan! The exact ‘what three words’ square for the limestone pavement location is comply.hiker.ended. Hope you have a great trip!

Excellent video, and great to see Sigma promoting the excellent fpL camera in the landscape. I bought one at the Photography show last year and have been describing how I use this camera in my own landscape photography on my own KZbin channel. If I may comment, the image at 5:00 has too much foreground - the path leads in from the right and up to the viaduct but the path and the structure are such strong lines that that big triangle of grass is ignored. The waterfall image at 11:09 is lovely - I'd have been happy with that one too. With the 100-400 lens why on earth were you not using the collar on the lens. It would have been a lot more stable, and you'd have been able to rotate in the collar to orientate the camera to portrait. Also, the camera has an in-built spirit level - not need to guess that it is level ;)

I’m not sure the 100-400 has a collar? I know the 150-600 does.
@huwalban2 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisRigbyFilm I have the 100-400 lens and mine has a collar - maybe it is an optional extra, but it is very handy to keep the lens steady on a tripod.

Nice video giving a flavour of the Dales. The limestone pavements are great there. Probably should’ve stayed at Winskill which is superb for last light but nice final shot

The Northern stretch of the Pembrokeshire coast and Preseli hills would be a pretty good place to try. Cathedral, ancient Burial Chambers, rugged hills and coast, perfect for video content, you know it makes sense.

Not sure you said the location of your last pano, clearly not the Ribblehead viaduct, but interesting juxtaposition with the adjacent village. Where was it, please?
