I remember the court I used to practice law in had this Spanish interpreter who was expressive like this. Loved him.
@katie857053 жыл бұрын
I always tell people asl is so much more then just signing with your hands, it's facial expressions and body movements. It's a very expressive language and if a person signs with a deadpan face and no emotion in the signs it's much harder to interpret what they're signing. I can say with confidence most people who are hearing and who don't have toes to the deaf community don't know what a beautiful language asl is because I myself didn't know till I had a deaf daughter and had to learn asl for her and honestly I fell in love with the language. Personally I think everybody should be taught asl or their native sign language if outside the U.S. at a young age. There is so many uses for it for hearing people (yelling at you kids from across the room without raising your voice, communicating with people through windows, having more private conversations of the occasion calls for it infants can learn signs before they can verbalize and so much more) but it would also just make this world so much more inclusive towards those who are deaf or hard of hearing. For anybody interested in learning this beautiful language without having to go to college or pay for classes look up Bill Vicars here on KZbin, he's easy to follow plus you learn the entire language including grammar not just the signs. His videos are also 100% silent (he uses a computer screen) so you can watch them anywhere. He's also an actual Deaf teacher so he knows what he's fully and is fully backed by the Deaf community (at least those that I know).
@Dutch3DMaster3 жыл бұрын
Yea this . It's slightly annoying sometimes that it's mistaken for "being overly expressive" while that is exactly what people who need to use sign language need for the simple fact that certain signs can mean the exact same thing but it's the emotion (for most people using sign language another form context) used along with it that conveys the right message. I can recall the parents of a classmate of mine who were both deaf getting into an argument once about who would do the grocery shopping and not only where their facial expressions superclear, the way they used certain signs along with their total body language were as well, they were much, much more obvious than in a regular conversation.
