Fun facts about russian dub: Dude's VA(Alexander Gruzdev) not only didn't know the context of Dude's quotes, but also didn't have a single idea about who is character he's voicing, nor even about the game itself. And I think it goes without saying that he didn't heard the Rick Hunter's Dude. Gruzdev also voiced final boss for Apocalyptic Weekend russian dub. Akella(a translator and a publisher for this game in russia) was really a strange company. They made one of the best russian dub of all time, and they also were responsible for worst game in the franchise.

I know that most people would disagree with me, because I know how every one loves the russian dub, but it just doesn't feel right for Dude. I'm russian myself, and gatta say, the performance is perfect, I love it, but he sounds too tired? I don't know, but the in the English version we can hear the crazy joy in the voice, it makes him stand out from the rest of the people in town. He's cool and crazy, you never know what he's gonna do next, and he's just having the time of his life killing people. Hes calm and all over the place at the same time. Meanwhile the russian? Well, he sounds kinda done with his life. It's goes pretty well for the character if you never heard the English version before, but when you get used to hear the calm, cool voice while killing strangers, this old tired man just sounds wrong.
