I currently work for bell and have been for the last 6 years, I joined the reserves at 16, at 16 I was, to say the least, not reliable, and had a bad attendance and ended up with a 5F. Would love to re join but not an option anymore. I know a few other guys in the same situation within bell. Is there any way to possibly challenge the 5F with good result. Grown up a lot over the last 8 years. Signal technician is where I wanted to be and still want to be.

Go to a recruiter and ask them unfortunately KZbin is not the place to ask. A 5F isnt the end of the world as many think it is and is still legally a honorable release, under the KR&O.

It is possible to reapply even if you were released as 5F. The file will be evaluated when you apply. Give it a try!

If you have nothing else going and are unemployed and heathy, joining is the best thing you can do

That being said, as a recruit, be ready for scrubbing shitters and accept/obey orders given to you. If you cant handle that, the army is not for you.

Been considering joining the Line Technician side of things for the Canadian forces but I can't find anything on ROP. I'm a powerline technician, and from what I understand I'm already making more then these guys.

Amazing... they didn't show a single funky colored hair person.. almost everyone was dressed to standard... its like they didn't want to show that side of the military...
