This year the #signalforhelp for victims of violence went viral on TikTok, saving at least one kidnapped girl’s life.
It has become a universal signal as a call for help and to escape gender-based violence.
But we cannot rely on hand signals to save young girls and women from violence against them.
On the international day against violence against women we call on the European Commission to propose an EU law against gender-based violence.
WE WANT ACTION, NOT JUST EMPTY WORDS!
