This right here. I knew right away which safe lock he was talking about just because I got stuck on this one for quite awhile, too. I did, eventually, get the hint, with re-reading the note that gives the definition of the word. So, yes, Mr. Game Cupboard! There is a way to solve it in the game without just guessing randomly. The game did supply enough information to figure it out, but it was VERY, VERY, easy to miss when the associated note just looked like a fun little fact describing something in the room, when in fact, it is a clue to solving the safe.

@@TheMisterBerry I'll never understand how ppl miss obvious puzzles like this but not a single video has talked about the doors that have those pattern keypads that are nowhere to be found on paper, you have to go to that microphone thing and again with NO indication what frequency you're supposed to radio in.

Yeah, the radio signal for door patterns was super simple for me, it just made sense. That butterfly one though? No idea, haha

Signalis is great. A masterpiece. Great story, puzzles, atmosphere, level design and especially inventory management. Totally got cucked at the game awards. The only issue I have is that the doors and item pickups can be a bit janky at times and led to bs hits.

To be honest the door interaction clunkiness is what made me just stop playing the game. Along with it being a game I feel like I have already done many times before. I want a complete new approach to survival horror that will completely subervt all my expectation. However what I have played its not a bad game, I really liked the atmosphere and was getting intrigued with the story.

Regarding the anime characters, as a huge fan of BLAME! (a manga with similarly vauge storytelling which the devs were inspired by) the character designs being BLAME!-inspired was a huge reason for my (and many others') hype for this game. If you don't know about the manga, Pewdiepie (yes lmao) made an excellent review of it.

My nit-pick is that the shoulder-mounted flashlight and bionic eye take up inventory space. And also as you mentioned not being able to use healing items from the floor without picking them up if your inventory is full

A Note about healing. Regular repair sprey heals the most, just over time. rp+ heals less but instantly.

Yeah and patches aren’t useless, two can heal from yellow to blue in like one minute or less

This game is a real masterpiece. This game gave me a feeling that I will probably never get from other game. Puzzles are mindblowing (for example the puzzle with butterflies), gameplay is that classic survival horror while it's adding some own twists to that formula, graphics are that nice pixel art and low-poly 3D combo with some anime aesthetics and Sci-Fi setting (I adore this combo), soundtrack is adding up to the mood and atmosphere of the game and story will seem to be confusing, but ending kinda explains the story (I'm talking about PROMISE ending) and that ending kinda sent me to espresso depresso mode. I love this game. Everything about it. The most sad thing is that I've found out this game 3 weeks ago when Pyrocynical streamed it. I feel like a shit that I didn't find it myself, but the vast majority of new horror games, indie or AAA, are just one big bullshit. SIGNALIS is just different - a beautiful project that just screams words ,,effort" and ,,passion", which 99.9% of new games don't. I just want to buy this game for my friends, because I want to support Rose-Engine devs as much as I can. God bless SIGNALIS and it's devs.

Im speaking as an anime fan, because i usually dont like survival horror games, but i wouldnt have paid this game any attention if it didnt have anime character designs. For me the contrast between pleasant looking anime characters and a grotesque horror environment really puts me in that mindset that something is wrong. Bonus points for it not being too over the too or edgy like many of its peers.

9:20 maybe spoilers for the safe puzzle he asked about: If it is the safe I'm thinking about the solution is in the pattern in the butterflies in a frame in the wall in the same room the safe is located, but I may be wrong.

You got the healing wrong, the heal spray heals the most but you heal over time, and the healspray plus heals medium but instant.

This game was great but the 6 spot inventory was maddening and the map taken away at the final part and then during the end game part 2 was extremely tedious at times lol.

health packs are actually fine, you just need to use them one by one and wait few seconds before using the other.. as far as i can tell their heal over time effect does not stack/combine... i found that actually combining is the worst way to use them. I only did it once cos i needed space

Im not sure what safe you're talking about but one of them on "New Game+" required the same code you used much earlier. I may have missed another secret puzzle, so I'm not sure if you're referring to that.

It's the Butterfly Room safe. Other comments have explained it so it's all good.

Regarding the safe, was the one where the solution was Aeon by any chance? If so then you have to check the butterflies in the same room. Their wings hold the answer.

Indeed. The clue to figure this out is in the document describing "Pareidolia" found in the east Alley. The butterfly frame has the same word engraved on it.

I think you missed that some heals - like Repair Patch, heals over time - I found them useful during my run

I love using normal repair gun as it heals the most but over a long time. I just use right when I am in the safe room planning my next move. I never really carry heals.

If I had to pick I'd say PlayStation. With games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill getting their start on the PS1 SIGNALIS just feels at home there, and I didn't have any performance issues whatsoever, unlike on Steam Deck which would drop frames occasionally.

in terms of soundtrack and music made by the composers i think their work it's correct for this game, i mean it does the job but i have to say that it could have been better. The lack of that "one piece" that you want to hear all the time really puts me off. Nonetheless this aspect it's a solid 7/10
