People don't really realize what a gem this guy is. Pick up any iconic guitar tune of the bollywood songs after 2000 and there is good possibility that this guy is behind this. I sometimes wonder how artists like Tony Kakkar or badshah have so much fan following as compared to this guy. People in India haven't yet discovered good music, at least a large part of them haven't.

Fun fact: As Ehsaan Sir mentioned that the guitar part from the song 'Kya Karoon' is inspired by John's Mayer 'The Heart of Life' and you can find it the movie also. Notice the alarm of Sid at the beginning of the movie when he is sitting on his table.

In kaisi hain Rut, he played those Bar Chords with dissonance haunting tones like Alex Lifeson ( Rush) style open string chords which we hear in Limelight, which look like normal chords, but due to first string open sounds makes unique dissonance which is cool. Ehsan used those chords in Kaisi hain rut brilliantly. Never realized that when I heard that in childhood but later realized when I started listening Rush. 😅😅 amazing podcast, man.

I'm so happy to finally find the name of the person who came up with all those riffs. Thank you for this beautiful interview! I was wondering how these magical compositions were being made and thought quite certainly that they had to have been made by some UK Indians or something. Cuz just like Mr. Ehsaan describes his compositions so humbly, I can see how his great influences from musicians and genres and cultures from around the world have fallen into place by his truly EXCEPTIONAL skill to take those extra out-of-india, not typical, beyond, extremely far off and far out methods and music styles and arrange them into these magical musical masterpieces that we have fallen in love with. I'm so happy to finally see the person whose heart brought forth (along with the beautiful inputs of the other 2 gentlemen) all of this music! Thank you so much! P.S: I'd written a short para about Mr. Shankar Mahadevan and a concert of his complaining about him here and I deleted that para cuz I was terribly wrong, it was Mr. Hariharan's concert where he had disrespected his audience by showing up late and blaming it on traffic. My sincere apologies! Cheers!
