I gave up on music, now that I see a musician like Tapas Roy, all I can feel is I would have lived and died 100x happier had I not left music. It takes courage to take the leap in this profession, but I am saying this to the young ones out there: it's a decision you take instinctively, without thinking. If you are thinking about it, your probability at failure is sky high. If you entered without a flinch and brimming with positivity, it's likely that greatness is waiting for you as long as you stay humble.

@@_TheMusicPodcast_ How do you cure a wisea$$ but a lazy-to-the-bone person? So far my progress is shouting out vocal pieces at 9to10pm on a busy flyover while striding on footpath, making sure vehicles passing by do not notice what I am up to. People like me who normalise over thinking and hide our mediocrity under the guise of fake caution find it only harder to recover, and forcibly buying a super costly arranger cannot help inject motivation either. Maybe joining an amateur band might jog some cogs back in place, resume the flow...

Hello team @The MusiccPodcast, if you're reading this, first of all thank you for doing this social good. The conversations will play a big role in nurturing the cultre of music in Insia. And second, if possible, could you get Bapi da (Sanjoy Das) on the podcast to specifically talk about how he Indianised the guitar by incorporating ghazal, classical, film and other folk forms of music.

Tarsame bhai this was a very nice session! It was interactive because there was constant reference to the instruments and the instrumentalist's connection to them. We need more of these sessions with gigging musicians!.. mazaa hi aaa gaya. Tapas da is a gem. It was heart warming to hear him talk about his experiences. We would want to see more musicians talking about their experiences/life/struggle. As a regular audience of this podcast, I would like to mention that your podcast is the only session that I have come across which really dissects the music and the industry.
