The amusement park in the video is pop pier which closed in 1967 and was abandoned during this recording

This brilliant piece preceded "Nights in White Satin" and may have easily been the Moody Blues' inspiration. LOVE was a remarkable band and Arthur Lee was a (troubled) genius.

Great heavy blues version of this song, best track on the Out Here album. For those mentioning the Moody Blues "Nights in White Satin", it's the original 1966 version of this song which is comparable, with a touch of "House of the Rising Sun" for good measure.

"Signed D.C." IS the twin song of "The House Of The Rising Sun", this version reminds it less, but the earlier/original version is very similar.

It does sound like Knights In White Satin, but this song by Love came first - first recorded by Love (cool acoustic version) at Sunset Sound Hollywood during January 24-27 1966. What I'd like to know is: does "D.C." stand for their first drummer Don Conka - and did he write the lyrics? (Is that why they had to let him go - was he hooked on the White Lady?)

And Nights in white satin was written in the spur of the moment so I red. Could it have been inspired by this?
