One more rule :- Trailing zeros are significant if they come from a measurement . Eg :- 2000 km has 4 significant figures , 86400 s has 5 significant figures e.t.c. but if it is simply 2000 and 86400 then it has 1 and 3 significant figures respectively .

You mentioned that the reason why significant figures are important would be in another video. Did you ever make that video? I went looking for it but only found adding/subtracting and multiplying/dividing significant figures. I always understood that significant figures help you do scientific notation easier. If you did make that video, can you point to the link for it?

Just a rule, so think on buying something like a car, $70,500.82. It's just more accurate.

if you have 70,000 we are unsure what the numbers are after the assumed "decimal" point, but 70,000.00 is very accurate we know that there are zeros after the decimal point... so we are not assuming but know for sure. Idk if this makes sense?

So that means that it doesn't matter whether the decimal is present in right side or left side of zeroes, the decimal should be present and the zeroes will be significant. ...right???

I was wondering if you would be able to answer my question in regards to significant digits with angles. What if an angle is say for example 49 degrees 0 minutes, the four and the nine are significant, but would the 0 count as well? Would it only be 2 significant digits in total or three?

Well no one really told me the answer on my question so I'm not 100% certain. I have moved onto other things in math and it's been awhile so I can't remember exactly. I think it would count as 3 significant digits. But I'm not 100% sure.
