The number of hotels and hotel rooms in India is minuscule compared to China, although India has many more historical sites. So much more needs to be done to improve tourist facilities like modern toilets and restaurants at significant tourist sites. Toilets for visitors to the Great Wall of China, Ming Tombs, and Xian terracotta are like 5-star hotels.
