Fantastic explanation Paul - amazed that you managed to pack so much in in such a a short video. I really appreciate and early - 'how does the game finish - what do you need to win' so that was appreciated - I also like the way you introduce the ideas in section according to relevance. The video enabled us to jump right into a complex game. Many thanks excellent stuff :-)

Another spectacular video Paul. I am becoming very interested in What's Your Game's? growing catalog of games. Each game you present seems chunky (in a very good way) that lends itself to solid decision-making and impressive engine building tactics to achieve victories. What is more impressive is the game play of each game is very individualized and enticing. I have purchased Nippon and I have recently added Zhangou and now Signorie to my game's wishlist queue. I realize you are not a sales person for these folks but your videos continue to introduce and excite me about these games!

+David Neri Thanks for the feedback David. WYG were one of my favourite publishers and I loved their games before I started doing work for them.

Great video Paul, I should consider stop watching your videos as I want to buy them all. :) A very clear, accesible, precise and eye-catching presentation. I never use "skip" or "forward" button :) Really a great job and do not lose motivation for further shows. Take care as well.

Thanks for the comment. I really try with my videos to make it clear and concise. Anyone who skips will miss something :)

Thank you for this video! I really enjoy this game but sometimes struggle with teaching it to new players. I'm glad I can send them a link to this video to help them learn before showing up.

Hi Jake, thanks for the comment. And yeah, I've had a number of people say to me that they have done that - if everyone watches the video before they come round, it saves a lot of time on game day itself :)

Nicely explained as ever Paul. Really looking forward to playing this. One clarification though, do your children stay in their city until the end of the game once they've solved the crisis, or just until the end of a round?
@GamingRulesVideos9 жыл бұрын
+Fraser Lott They stay in the city, and once all the slots are full - that's it. So there is a "race" element to the game, getting meeples in the cities to get the bonuses. And with 4 players all cities will fill up before end of game.

Thanks for the feedback. I put a lot of work into planning, filming and editing the video to get it as good as possible. This one was about 45 hours work, others are longer.

Great job, thanks. Just played this last week. One thing we were confused about : offspring action happens in phase 3, but we couldn't find when in phase 3. Can I arrange a wedding for one of my sons (if I qualify for the reward) before rolling for offspring?
@GamingRulesVideos8 жыл бұрын
Phase 3 is the rewards phase. The Offspring action (Signoria action of the purple part on your Player board) happens in Phase 2. There is no offspring action in phase 3. Did you mean a wedding?
@chadjacobson26798 жыл бұрын
+Gaming Rules! reading the manual again, I now realize that they were saying that the wedding happens in phase 3 and not the offspring action. I was confused by how it was worded. thank you. that makes more sense.

no worries. I helped a lot on the rulebook for this game, so you had me worried! Wedding first, offspring later :)

+Gaming Rules! Yes! We played the game a few hours after I watched the video and it helped me go through the rulebook really quickly. We loved it. I think it might be better with 3 or 4 players, though. You have a new subscriber! Time to go check Nippon :)
@GamingRulesVideos8 жыл бұрын
+Izobretenik Good to have you on board. I know a few people who have said that Signorie is better with more, and a few people are using alternate rules for the alliance tiles, as they can get 'stuck'. I've not played with 2, so not seen it myself.
@Izobretenik8 жыл бұрын
+Gaming Rules! That's true, that's what happened to me today. I wonder if just refreshing the alliance tiles at the end of the round couldn't help with resolving that issue, at least partially. I'll wait a few games before I even consider house-ruling such a beautiful design.

You mean with proper English subtitles? I find the auto-ones are generally ok with my accent, but starting last year, I have begun to pay someone to start going through all my old videos and add proper subtitles. She is doing them gradually, so will take a while, but will get done eventually.
