KFC has gotten very expensive over the past 20 years and the chicken pieces are very small, bland, and greasy at my local KFC here. Who in their right mind wants to pay 31.99$ for a 8 piece chicken meal, and that was a coupon deal? I was shocked when I saw the KFC coupons in my mailbox. They were also selling a two piece and two small sides for a whopping 11.99$. In the 12 years I have been here, I think I went there maybe 2 or 3 times, with coupons, of course. Today, there are a lot of cheaper options for chicken in my city. Popeye's is also expensive, but the chicken pieces are bigger and they taste better. Chik fil A makes the best chicken sandwiches, period. But I usually make my own chicken. It's very easy. ps. I remember growing up in the 70s and my parents buying buckets of chicken from KFC that were almost full of chicken. Today's "buckets" are a joke. You probably need 50 pieces to fill up a "bucket" now. And who's going to pay about 100$ to 150$ for a bucket full of chicken?

I used to love KFC but lately the original is so greasy and the crispy lacks flavor. The chicken is often over cooked and dry. The coating is not properly shaken off leaving sections of uncooked flour.

KFC would do well to replicate some of these practices of their Japanese restaurants. I wouldn't be surprised to see that their Chinese stores are similar to the Japanese ones. The food quality is much higher.

Up here in Canada maybe KFC should stop using Cornish hens and start serving full sized birds like Popeye's uses. And quit using "halal", be the non-halal option for those of us who would rather not support Hamas and Hezbollah.

When i was growing up and even well into my adult years, my local KFC used to serve meals on a [disposable] plate which made you feel like you were being served a home cooked meal and they used to pride themselves on that. But around 20 years ago, they adopted to a 'life on the go' attitude and they went to serving everything in a box or bag. That 'home' sense has long disappeared and that's when i stopped going. Not everyone has a busy life and some people want to enjoy a nice sit down meal which unfortunately you won't get at KFC. But i guess they had to cut corners on expenses, and boxes are cheaper than plates, but at the sacrifice of quality and enjoyment.

I loved KFC meal deals. Would often stop and grab one on the way home from work. There were two KFCs within a few miles. A Chik-Fil-A opened across the street from one, and a Popeye's opened across from the other. Both closed within a year! 😒😒

the reason why kfc is doing so well in China is because popeyes and chickfila aren't really in China. . . until next year when this year both announced they are expanding to China, then people in China are gonna realize what we realize over here. sidenote looks like their famous chinese restaurant is slowly taking over panda express over here

If Kentucky Fried Chicken stuck to making what made its brand famous in the first place and spent as much time, money, and energy on quality and consistency than they do on stupid marketing gimmicks, they would hold a larger share of the market than they currently do at this point in time. KFC has always been expensive and the pieces smaller then other chains, but it was darn good chicken you couldn't get anywhere else. These days Yum! Brands only gives a crap about emerging markets and once those markets have been saturated the quality and value in those markets will go to crap as well. Thanks a lot PepsiCo.

They know why we don’t go as often. 1. The servings are smaller 2. The seasoning recipe has changed (not in a good way) 3. Food is not cooked all the way 4. Switch suppliers and we can tell the decrease in quality to the fries, side items, and the chicken itself I’m not spending all that money for a subpar customer experience

I live in Louisville KY we knew it was bad when Popeyes moved in. When i was a kid they pushed out Popeyes, Bogangles, and Churches. A lot of the stores are combined with Long John Silvers and they go for the fish not the chicken. They also have better KFCs in other cities storewise. They really need a signature sandwich and custom buckets kind of like the movies

Apparently, KFC is doing very well in Asia. From KZbin videos I've seen reviewing KFCs in Asia, the food is of a higher quality and the menus are much more varied with lots of local items.

No one wants to say it, but sales started declining once KFC became heavily promoted and liked by Trump. Working at KFC we saw this start to happen everytime he was photographed eating it. People jumped ship and ran to Publix and Popeyes

I remember going to KFC recently cause of a random craving. It had been at least 5 years or so since I’ve last been. I remember ordering wedges and was immediately told they don’t have wedges anymore, just fries… I remember the sheer amount of shock and disappointment I felt then and there, and after actually having the food after. My local KFC closed in 2020. It had been around since 1962. YUM brands, which is owned by Pepsico, owns KFC as well as Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, is doing a great job at destroying brands.

Kfc by us closed yrs ago. Turned into a taco bell. Another slap in the face. I haven't been there in more than 10 years. I got food poisoning from the coleslaw and nearly went to the ER. Plus 80% of the time the order was wrong. We had to end up going inside telling them the difference between a thigh and a breast. We do cane's. Even our chick fillet quality has declined. Yeah, cane's and wingstop are it for us.

The new original recipe tenders are really good if expensive, but KFCs biggest problems are lower quality than it used to be and reducing side choices. KFC USA has been treated badly by the company, most other countries get better chicken and sides. Bring back the corn on the cob, potato wedges, macaroni salad, and apple pie; also give us some stuff from other countries like egg tarts or tender-rice or mushroom rice or fried plantain or sweet potato qq balls or gravy mashies.

Grew up with KFC being a lot different from what it is today. No wonder I rarely or even consider KFC as a choice for my fast food... Their chickens will be microscopic soon as theyre getting smaller and smaller.. Terrible fries and their sandwiches look as if someone coughed them up.. Its funny as a certain brand from "Louisiana" opened in Prague and their first shop is opposite to KFC (not even 10m away). I take it as a funny way of announcing your arrival to a new market. And to be honest there is not comparison at all... the new-commer beats KFC in every possible ways... presentation, taste, etc...
