From another aspect, our life is made up of constantly switching emotional reactions towards each experience that appears or occurs. Try to pay attention to the ever-shifting feelings you have while sitting down somewhere. At first, it would seem comfortable but the comfort level will naturally decrease until you are forced to adjust your seating situation to reach a certain level of comfort. This comfort will also decrease until you are forced to adjust how you sit once again. This, in itself, shows us how we're constantly switching from liking something to being indifferent and then to not liking it all the time. From that, we can observe the impermanence of all things.

Impermanence is what the Buddha wanted everyone to experience.

Long time ago, I dreamt that I was a divine monk that could float above the space surrounding by other monks sitting in the stadium. I couldn’t figure it out what the message behind the dream. Each time I closed my eyes I could see the scenery and remember everything vividly. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻.

What a beautiful and profound dream! Dreams like these can sometimes be deeply symbolic, pointing towards an elevated sense of spiritual awareness or an aspiration to connect more deeply with the teachings of the Buddha. Floating above in the company of other monks could symbolize a sense of transcending worldly concerns and moving closer to a state of higher wisdom, peace, and detachment. The vividness of your memories when you close your eyes may indicate that this dream carries significant meaning for you, possibly related to a past life or a powerful spiritual experience. In Buddhist philosophy, dreams are sometimes seen as manifestations of the subconscious mind or reflections of your spiritual journey. This dream might be encouraging you to continue your meditation and inner work, as it shows a deep connection with the monastic life and the pursuit of enlightenment. If this dream continues to resonate with you, consider reflecting on its symbolism during meditation or journaling to gain further insights. Thank you for sharing your experience, and may your path be filled with wisdom and peace! 🙏🌸

Beautifully said, my friend. The constant shift in our emotional reactions and the need to adjust for comfort mirrors the impermanence of life. Every moment is fluid, constantly changing, just like how our feelings evolve from comfort to discomfort and back. This process of adjusting and shifting reflects the impermanence of all phenomena, as nothing remains the same for long. When we observe this, we realize that nothing-whether it's a physical sensation, a thought, or an emotion-lasts forever. The discomfort we feel will fade, and so will the comfort. This awareness allows us to detach from clinging to any experience, as we understand that both pleasure and discomfort are fleeting. By practicing mindfulness and focusing on these shifts, we can gain deeper insight into the nature of our minds and the world around us. The cycle of change itself becomes a teacher, reminding us of the truth of anicca (impermanence). Your reflection is a great reminder to embrace the present moment fully, knowing it is always in flux. 🌸
