What you mentioned about feeling so misunderstood as a child and just not knowing how to express yourself properly is so spot on. To this day, I still struggle with "Oldest Sibling Syndrome" lol but my parents were very strict, and I was neurodivergent AND suffering with mental health issues but no one knew. My parents just thought it was normal puberty affects. It wasn't until I got diagnosed in high school because my life- and thus myself- was totally falling apart (aka- I couldn't mask anymore). I've made mental health education one of my purposes in life, and I especially took that responsibility in educating my parents for the sake of my siblings. It's one of those situations where no one realizes that certain things aren't exactly "normal" until you look back on it later because hindsight is always 20/20! I'm an extremely introspective and well, sensitive person. The sensitive thing has never really been a secret lol. But I love what you said about how easily inspired we can get. As someone with ADHD (and thus varying phases of different hyperfixations), I never really thought about it like that. I'm afraid that's something that Gen Alpha is lacking more than any other generation because of the different ways they're being raised, but that's a whole other conversation. As a chronic over-analyzer, it's pretty rare that I hear something new that I've never heard or thought of before, so kudos! Inspiration really is so important and we could all stand to embrace it more!
