i used to breed budgies and when I was breeding them I would notice that the male would also sit on the eggs with the female allowing her to rest outside the box and get some exercise and also he would feed her on occasion.

Funny bird drama. My little girl is about to lay eggs, but not with her partner(their names are tweedle Dee and tweedle dum). She mated with one of the other guys in the flock, but it’s her partner that is feeding her and caring for her like it’s his eggs. The other guy hasn’t even noticed she is acting different. So he is basically the tweedles sperm donor. Tweedledum would be a better dad anyways so it works out in the end 😂

If you don't provide nests or things they can perceive as nests (ie- a dish for food vs a silo type feeder) then they'll just mate for fun. Budgie's don't become pregnant, they lay eggs. It's also cere not Sarah. Budgie needs to be healthy and old enough 2-5yrs of age, enough calcium in their diet to ensure no egg binding and no issues with their young babies. Don't let you budgie make babies unless you are fully prepared to intervene if the parents abandon their chicks. Please educate yourself.

Hi Alen I love your videos, but I don't agree with Budgies having only one lover in life. In my experience they will pair up again next year with a new mate. Also, Budgies rarely breed if it's quiet, they like a lot of bird noise around them and prefer nesting in groups. Birds are stimulated by noise and a quiet environment makes them sad and stressed. In English we pronounce "cere" to rhyme with "here", not "serra". I don't like the American voiceover, but I prefer when you speak on your videos! Thank you for all your great content, your budgies are beautiful. 🎶🐦

Mineral stones don't offer enough calcium. Get a proper calcium supplement that has Vitamin D3 in it. They require Vitamin D3 to properly absorb the calcium.

I have my budgies for over a year now.A male and female together in one cage, female budgies beak turned brown for a while but then back to a beige colour....just anxious as to weather they will ever be a mating couple.

Sarah in reality it´s Cera. Cera or Cere it´s the same, but Cere it´s in english and Cera in portuguese. The spell differs..

Sir my budgies breed for first time...she laid 5 eggs from them 1st egg hatch after 20 days... it's now been more than 24 days remaining eggs aren't hatch yet...even all eggs were fertile...pls answer I don't have any idea...
