im enjoying it, i wanted to experience pandaria properly, so i did the questlines and only did dungeons/ raid when i had a quest to do so.... there was a point where i could kill 10ish mobs without any worry (60) but one level over, if i didn't level a hunter fist i would of never gotten to lvl 70.

honestly, I just kind of played it at my own pace and enjoy things. The biggest reward for me is getting a few new mogs And running through a bit of the older content for fun because let’s face it. I was just counting down the time until the new expansion launches anyway.. care less about farming, legendary items in retail. This gives me a little bit of fun leveling up new characters, which is kind of what I enjoy to do anyway, and I can run raids at an early level two which is also something fun that I wasn’t able to do in retail.

The searing light gem on holy priest had me doing 10-15x more damage than the second highest dps in raid as a low level. Gem is absolutely busted

I leveled to 70 in Just two zones: Jade forest and Valley of the four winds. I completed all Main/Side Quests and target rares to get both zones completed and up to 70. The rest of pandaria was extra chests, stats/xp for cloak and finishing out reps. took me less than 24hrs to get it done.

it's made to enjoy pandaria again and/or fir the first time BUT with an extra twist: feeling overpowered and hitting as hard as a truck load of tornadoes filled with trucks. that last part was basically 80-90% of this game mode's selling point.... untill they nerfed that last part after people found a way to get thousands of threads in the first 24 hours via farming a specific area filled with frogs. and now the people who consequently exploited these frogs are running around with 15 times your HP, massive amount of damage reduction and life leech while simultanuously shitting out more dps than the rest of your raid could possible do...

I leveled by questing and found out about frogs just as they were nerfed, so I didn't get powered up. I did an LFR and a few dungeons while leveling but there were no bonuses at the time and it seemed pretty pointless. Questing was pretty good up to around 55 and then the mobs got tougher and quests/level went up until 70, despite building the XP bonus on the cloak. I would say time/zones completed were similar to when I originally leveled through the expansion at launch. I have done some more questing/LFR at 70, bought some gear updates, made legendary gems and life is easier again with health doubled. I regret missing out on the frog farm and not getting easier heroics/raids done at low levels. However, I did get enough threads questing to max out the cloak achievement and to get all the unique gems (plus one legendary) before level cap. Ironically, the bigger your xp bonus, the less time there is for rewards along the way, although Blizz claim they are now compensating for this. In any case, I did everything while leveling to prep for alts - I just have a much tougher job to fill the jewellery slots.

Level through questing is a nice comfort way. By the time I got to the Vale, through the quests naturally getting me there, I was already at 70. I didn't touch Townlong Steppes nor the Dread Wastes.

Turn Auto Loot off when looting raid bosses so you can loot the 12% exp buff before the actual chunk of exp from the boss

If you have autoloot enabled, you can shift + right click and it will loot it as if autoloot was disabled. Same goes the otherway around.

You actually can't even collect any bonus XP after you hit 70, but it means you get more stat threads, so it's a good tradeoff (as near as I can tell, anyway)

I havent had an LFR queue time go longer than 5 minutes, and that was on my feral druid. queueing as a healer is near instant pop.

In my opinion they just need to change one thing to make MoP remix feel way better.... I don't care people got ahead by farming frogs, I don't even think they need to increase the amount of bronze dropped. The ONLY thing that needs to happen is the gear upgrades cost wayyyy less and/or get a completely new currency/system. It makes no sense at all that I have to choose between +10 ilvls on my character and the super rare 1% drop rate mount I wanted to farm bronze for in the first place in a limited-time event. *Also the timerunner achievement items should be account wide* - it's insane that a for-fun overpowered limited time event is less alt friendly, harder to gear, and with harder to clear raids than are in the current retail season. I have 4 characters above 510 ilvl in retail and can't get my main above 330 in remix after 40 hours...

A small tip is to create all the characters you want and then have them sitting in an inn to get rested xp! Mostly helpful if you are like me and creating one of each class lol

LFR is almost instant queue as a healer and you dont even have to do any healing, you could just stay in dps spec if the scaling wasnt so weird you actually do higher dps in healing spec (im rsham)

While the Cloak XP bonus is less for alts, I have noticed they level faster anyway. On my first Alt, I turned in three quests and got an entire level. My Cloak was only at 105%. Way faster than Toon #1.

To reiterate is as well, your Alt has 105% XP Bonus at the start while your first Character had a 0% XP Bonus at the start. So yes, thats why it is faster, because you gained a whole 105% more XP Bonus between those 2 characters xD.

Not sure if it's better lately, but in the first few days whenever I tried to queue for Normal dungeons on my Hunter (was around level 45 at the time) I never got an invite. Maybe that's just a "we don't want no stinkin' Hunters" thing, but my experience has been negative when even trying to get into a Normal group. At least with LFR you can get in, and while the queues may take a while if you sign up for all the wings you want to do you'll find they tend to pop one after another once the first one starts. As for player expectations prior to the event, much of that came from Blizzard and content creators who played the PTR, so it wasn't just people assuming, it was people having expectations set for them by others.

I have been getting the infinite achvs, but did not realize how they were helping. I've been doing all the quests in the zones to get the story lines done. Leveling g just the 1x toon so far, I am running as a Prot Pally, and at lvl 68, my dmg is garbage! I tried Heroics early on and got demolished! Even queuing as a Tank, I had 40-60min queue times for raids, and so at 68, I have still not run one raid yet. I have only done a few heroic scenarios. 😭

So my main is level 70. For some dumb reason I chose to run a dh which I don't tank so I relied on the 20-40 min dps ques. But his exp rate is only at 154% and that's where it capped. From like level 60 it never went higher. Did I mess up somewhere.

​​@@madthorn3094 my buddy... it's over. blizzward "fixed" the frogs days ago. you can't eyploit it anymore and the handful of people who did are so far above you stat wise that it'll take you several hundreds of hours to come even close to their stats, which is also the reason why any raid leader will pick these people instead of you 11 out of 10 times. blizzard fucked up, again, as they always do, and instead of making the experience equally funny for everyone they rather nerfed it into oblivion, so now only the people who exploited soon and exploited hard can actually feel overpowered as fck... which is ultimately ironic because "feeling overpowered" were basically 90% of the selling point of MoP remix. thx for nothing again, blizz 🤡❤️

The fact that its an alternative to regular leveling is a great idea. However, lol, i can level literally 10x faster outside of the remix doing dungeons/quests. Now having said that, that was just to level 60. Im sure the 60-70 run in remix is far faster. Just my 2c. My wife went into remix and I started in normal Azeroth. It wasnt even close. I hit 50 hours before she hit 40. Now that she has the "cloak" her next toons may be faster, but initially, its not even close.

60-70 is the slowest part on Remix. It took me 23 hours on my first, including AFK. With the cloak achievement maxed and the changes to raids and dungeons, it should be a lot faster to level alts now.

@@run8scap80201 it's an easy guide, just quest through thew zones... thats what I did and half way through the dread wastes I was maxed out on cloak and lvl 70 only zone I didn't touch was Viel and the other half of the dread wastes along with Isl of thunder or timeless isles.

But why would you want exp on the cloak, if as a pre ~60-65 the balancing is in your favor. Trying to not reach higher level as quickly as possible seems much more worth it until they (hopefully) improve the scaling.

The cloak ended up being a huge disappointment, when youtuber kept telling me that what I did on my main would help put my alts, sure it did some with the achievement but there is not much reason for me to make my main cloak any better. It is also silly that that we get weaker with each level up, my speed did go down for each level from 18% to 12%

Thankgod diablo season 4 is out so ive still got something to play before war within as this remix was vastly overhyped, its not fun at all and jt just feels like the same leveling grind...but with a random cloak that doesnt even seem to make mucn of a difference. Well you can't necessarily choose which threads you get, so if you spammed raids and dungeons at close to max for gear and bronze, the exp threads just follows

Doubtful. Probably be given the same gear as with a level boost.

Craps, I've been doing it wrong from day one. I have a lvl 41 and lvl 42 and haven't been in a raid yet. I like following the story line but apparently that's not enough.

So far only got to lvl 21 since...well, I don't feel enthusiasm for this event. The main advertisement for remix was it's a stupidly overpowered funfare, yet I don't feel anything overpowered at all. Even with all the gems I'm still killing mobs at a sometimes slower than retail pace, especially feels so when in heroic dungeons, that we're essentially chipping off boss's health bar bit by bit. All of us got killed by Lilian except for the tank, that would NEVER happen in retail, so I really don't get how or why their "stupidly overpowered fun" stands.

I think it’s already fast enough questing and dungeon running. Plus I’m getting to know my monk and lvl my cloak.

The quests dont slow down, if you know them. Just do the quests from start to finish and get the stuff done. If you want something new, sprinkle in a LFG queue or two. Maybe a scenario or a LFR queue. Get the achievements done the first time, and then you can do this method of leveling after you're done with it all and can relax and mess around on alts. Do not follow this clusterfuck of "advice" if you want to 100% the remix event.
