These events are great fun, and the rewards towards the end of the season are very rewarding. However, receiving "7 cloaks in a row" is a terrible feeling, and it makes you feel as if you wasted your time and effort. Since there are such great rewards, why not give a currency to buy the pieces we need for transmog or want to upgrade (similar to what they do at the end of an xpac)?

THIS! I just knocked it out on my fresh tank. The only heroic piece I had was a ring. The other ring is the circlet from the new zone. After knocking out the 5 timewalkings, literally anything but a ring is an upgrade. Guess what I got? Yep, a ring! Makes you want to uninstall the game.

@@SouthernDrinkSlinger i had my first run of mythic raids - sadly, only got 3/8. SO, my excitement to open the great vault was all time high. Got lucky to have an item drop and received the loot roll win.. what's in my vault? the item that dropped.. idk how that even works!!!! haha terrible

I always look at it as an alternative way to grind reps and extra chances at some of the mounts, the chests from the raids can drop mounts from the respective raids of that expansion (eg you can get the ashes phoenix mount from the BC raid chest from killing illidan)

LOL don't feel bad. I am a quester/farmer. I don't do dungeons/raids/pvp so I admire everyone else gear and mounts. I enjoy my million Alts for fun. I have about 15 lvl 80s thus far. Everything isn't for everyone. Find your niche in the game and Enjoy. 😊😊

By the end of the anniversary event, I’d say the last two or three weeks I was so sick of running those same dungeons and the whole abomination that is scaling that I was almost ready to puke every time I said foot into one of them. Like I literally only use it a few times within the last couple weeks to knock out a level or two on an alt that was almost max anyway. The players that would go into those things were like the worst type. They would either make a Twink and just blast through everything at lightning speed with no care of who they left behind because they had their speed set on and when you got into a semi normal group people acted like I had no idea what to even do with their class because they were so used to being carried every other run.

Where can you get the weekly quest for the timewalking raid that gives a second hero item? Already did the TW dungeon's, got unlucky with the loot from that weekly cache T_T

As far as I can tell there is no Pandaria TW raid unfortunately. I spent a couple hours looking for how but couldn't find anything.

It comes from the Disturbance Detected raid quests but unfortunately mists pandaria does not have a timewalking raid yet. So there is no second quest this week.

Cool, more timewalking. I opened one of those chests in DF and it gave me a worthless token that couldn't be traded to the vendor it was supposed to be for, they did a hotfix and made so everyone who got something besides the token got a reward, but the character I was trying to actually gear up got nothing but the worthless token. He still has it. Anyway kinda burned me out on these timewalking reward chests, I don't want to do 5 dungeons to find out I don't get a reward, and to then find out Blizzard only cares about some of their players getting no reward and completely stop paying attention after that. I might do this on one or two characters but that really soured me on these timewalking quests. Just gonna replace the gear right away anyway I'm assuming. Also the drop RNG is a real issue, these rewards feel BAD when you don't get anything on a character that needs a lot

In Game open Adventure guide- will usually have a raid and loot that is hero track example- the quest can be picked up once in the TW raid- but usually to kill last boss as well so don’t leave after just killing 5 raid bosses if that quest is on as well

Not saying I do mind, but alt gearing nowadays feels a bit like having a bin full of bits of metal, leather and fabric poured over your head 😅 Dinged DH yesterday evening, full 4-set, and three 619 crafted pieces this morning, and fully outgeared Siren Isle drops :D Might actually level my earthen next, and TW just for the mount :) Gonna miss the first couple weeks of season 2, but I feel I have every role ready to step in with whatever is needed in the raid group, it's a great feeling, tbh :)

This is how gearing alt should be. You used up a good amount of time on your main already why do it again for an alt? Gearing your alt back then was a headache and time consuming.

We JUST had a months-long timewalking event. It literally just ended. I just... this cadence of "oh look a shiny! oh look another shiny!" is exhausting. I'd love a few weeks where nothing is happening and I have the choice to decide for myself what might be fun to do in WoW, instead of WoW screaming at me to do the next FOMO event.

The mount takes like an hour or two max to get the first 4-stack buff. Then just log off on that char and log back on once a week to run a dungeon and refresh the buff to give credit for the achiev. That's it, you're just making a mountain out of a molehill.

Try playing Guild Wars 2 where you can finish the latest expansion in a week and wait months for the final update that you end up finishing in a day, walking out with no rewards other than a few mogs you'll never use. WoW players have no idea how good they have it lol

Its amazing how useless 619ilvl "catch up gear" is when season is almost over,its for people for arent doing anything else than just farm, achivement hunt and sit in dornogal. A +7 mythic plus key gives you a free herotrack if you think about it.

This Event to CATCH UP is not for Characters who finished Hero Raid or +7 keys its for those players who are new to the game or just logged in for some hero dungeons not everybody plays the game like you
