Also, to point out, there's actually is still an advantage to TBC flying than Dragonriding, and that's stability. There are a few quests I can remember in DF where it was far easier to complete with TBC riding than DR. For example, the final quest for the Winterpelt storyline which required you to collect ten pine-cones from a nearby tree. That being said, I'm glad they are bringing Dragon Riding and no longer seem to have a GM vs Player mentality when it comes to flying.

it’s also better for flying extremely long distances in an efficient manner. unless you descend from a really high jumping point (storm peaks, mt hyjal, highmountain, thaldrazsus, etc) and are very strategic and skilled at skyriding, it’s hard to cover extremely vast distances without periodically landing and recharging energy

Immediately after new players experience exiles reach, they should go to their home zone and work their way as we did so many years ago. Then after completing the starting zone or even just right after the reach they should be sent to Chromie or whoever and decide which expansion to experience INCLUDING classic zones. Its like the classic option in retail is just non existent and its a shame because older zones are more relaxing and make a smooth experience for new players. New players don't know who Alextrasza is or the Lich King...and will literally wonder, "what sword?" I know I miss being able to que for Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep, some of the original dungeons that shaped some of the most amazing stories in the game.

Exactly, since we can trade the tokens, but can't at least trade the class sets? The warband thing is next to useless for transmog farming outside of BFA and first 2 raids of Shadowlands. I just ran a legion raid to see how much I can get, and I only got 2 things from Tomb. I have no idea why they come up with some good ideas and then be stingy about them when it comes to certain aspects related to it. They're a bunch of overgrown children at this point. At least let us trade the class specific pieces of gear.

Because race starting zones are still in cataclysm times, you run by foot A LOT and you level indecently slow, like 3-4 times slower.

Absolutely agree about steady flight being locked in TWW. Approx 30% of the population is susceptible to motion sickness. Dragonriding makes me so nauseous I stopped playing WOW for the first three months of Dragonflight I was so pissed off. I did as much as I could with ground mounts. My husband did the dragonriding bits for me to get the achievement so I could use steady flying mounts. It was NOT a pleasant experience. I'm in BETA now, and again - the storyline makes using dragonriding flight style essential. I've played this game since Vanilla. Personally, I hate being forced into a particular playing style. I don't do PVP - so why are there PVE quests that force me to do that? I don't want to use dragonriding - don't force me to. I mean, if we're adding Arachnophobia settings for the 6% of the population that is affected, why not steady flight for the 30% affected?

When TWW within comes I plan to set up my warband with one character of each armor type (Mail, Cloth, Plate, Leather), so if I'm playing a mail class like hunter and I kill a mob and it drops a piece of plate gear, I can either unlock it's appearance directly or stick it in my warband bank and then log on to my plate warband character and take the gear and use it on them if it's an upgrade to the gear my plate character already has equipped.

July 30th is confirmed. I saw something confirming we can collect the echoes on July 30th. So, I'd imagine that's the prepatch. Also, there's still some abilities that are bugged and do nothing. The warrior is really bugged, for example. They made a change to Reckless Abandon, and it only procs once and never again. Only way it procs again is if you log out, or switch specs. Then there's also talents that increase Raging Blow damage and don't even increase it. They seem more focused on tuning than actually fixing bugs, which is bad. I've submitted bugs about them and the Evoker Mass Disintegrate hero ability, and nothing has been done. Though, the warrior one is fairly new; not counting the raging blow talent not working.

I reckon the steady flying achievement is likely an anti bot measure. Bots will have a far easier time with steady flight so locking it behind something adds set up time for each bot account

The achievment isn´t THAT bad anyway - just do the TWW campain, level to 80 (which you will probably do during the campain anyway) and explore all areas of the new map. Plus, it is account-wide, so you just have to unlock it on one character. No rep grind or anything like that.

I have a question about the Warband achievements. I can understand that reps are to begin with only what we should consider live (Dragronflight and The War Within). As it is now your charater claims the achievement, like I have a main named Sal, and an old main named Gar (now an alt). Gar have made some achievement Sal havent yet. Will Gar claim those for the Warband or will it simply just unlock as an account thing. The reason why I ask is because back when ESO made all achievements accountwide it was the first character that logged in that claimed them.

Sounds great with Chromie time but what about toons standing in old expansions for easier to farm rep and things I want from those expansions? I have a few lvl 60 toons standing in older expansions just for easier rep farm and to farm other things I want. Will the level of the old expansions stay as they are now or will they increase their levels outside of Chromie time? Almost need to know if I have to start leveling them up from 60 to 70.

I'm wondering the same thing. Also, will all the old raids and dungeons now go up to 70? I'm solo farming old raids and that will become near impossible for me if I have to heavily gear up an 80 to do it. I don't really get into end game content ... Which is why I go back and farm stuff later. I really hate scaling in general. I'm supposed to be exploring the world, the world is not supposed to modify itself to fit my level. The only thing that's made it tolerable is having previous expansions grouped from each other. If everything is only one expansion behind, you'll only have a max ten level advantage over old content.

I have no game development experience but I have worked on websites that have been around for a while. I would bet that on the back end it is so full of spaghetti code that this is the best they could do with the time frame they're working in. Perhaps they will try to completely revamp it and streamline later but in the meantime this is what they could do with what they were working with. The oldest site I've worked on was 8 years old and it was a hot mess despite being a fortune 500 company. I can't even imagine what a 20-year year old game looks like on the back end.

I don't understand the point of still restricting the appearance unlock for class specific sets. Its kind of the most important category and the most tedious part of mog hunting. Almost all tier set pieces are still class locked. Meaning we will still only have once chance a week to get our legacy tier sets. I really wish they would just remove the lockout timers once a raid becomes legacy. There is zero reason to keep them restricted. I hate that I missed the last two seasons of DF due to starting a new job. Its likely going to be years before I can complete them on my mains now.

What I'd be interested in knowing about transmog, is if you have to loot the item/complete the quest after the prepatch goes live, or if you can have the item in the bank or quest already completed and get the appearance when you log in after prepatch, did anyone check this on PTR?

It is retroactive for quests, and anything in banks or inventories will count
