And I saw today on Facebook that the smaller one is now thinner with a better movement. That's a win!

The lume is outstanding..i have seen a fully lumed dial signum and that thing is a torch on the wrist.i love it when u come in from the outside into a room and someone looks at your watch and asks if THATS digital..i tell them radioactive

Excellent review! Thank you for assessing the size like this, that’s such a key factor. I have 38s, 40s and in between but I think for a sporty design like this, a 42mm with a short lug length is just about perfect. For dressier divers, that’s where I prefer a smaller silhouette. Great comparison as well - before I purchased a Swordfish, I thought it might be too large but it isn’t at all.

Thank you! That's great feedback and I agree with your assessment on all fronts. With a stout piece that's a traditional dive aesthetic, the larger presence works, while still being small wrist friendly with the short L2L and a dial size that's on par with many 40s. I felt the same with the Swordfish and Hammerhead as well.

Wearing my black pearl, gorgeous, and solid quality, feels really tough as far as the case is concerned. Well finished as well.

Awesome! They are great pieces, especially for the price. The dials in the works are incredible and most are materials I've yet to see in a watch. Cheers

The Seiko SKX in both sizes is clearly the rolemodel here. The case is thoughouly modernized though and I like it very much. I bought the smaller one believing I would get a 40mm diver. Now it is the smallest diver I own and for variety's sake alone I am happy with it.
@JonathanTReviews3 жыл бұрын
I think that's a fair assessment, though, I agree plenty of upgrades/updates. I've actually pondered the same thing with the small. It is also the smallest I would have and I kind of like that aspect. But, the dials are so cool I'd also miss having more surface area to gaze at them. Ultimately, you can't go wrong either way for the price!

Great video Jonathan, really good to see them next to each other and having the Zelos and Reise for comparison. I might have gone for the smaller before seeing this but now I'd opt for the larger size.
@JonathanTReviews3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful. I felt exactly the same way. I like the small quite a bit, but it does present very small in dial real estate. Still plenty legible and feels amazing on the wrist, but it's an adjustment even on my 6.5" wrist.

Interesting decision to do the measurements from the crown guard. May not be too much of an issue for smaller wrist people, but could deter going for the "larger" one. Also, could disappoint large wrist people! None the less, awesome pieces and review man! And a helm drop, that has to be one heck of a watch! Haha
@JonathanTReviews3 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy! Yeah, that's been the one minor "hiccup" I've seen. The website was clear about that aspect, but it still threw some people off on deciding which size would be best (including me initially) since it's different than many others. The wrist shots helped a lot though. He's been making some updates to the info to help make it easier. Overall, I think you get a lot of watch for the money, much like Helm!

Thank you! I'm glad it helped. I'll be grabbing at least one of the Ceros too. I'm planning to get a labradorite (probably purple) and likely copper turquoise.

The thing that stood out the most about this brand is that they didn't compensate you for the video. Nothing like free marketing. Just on that alone I would never consider their watches.

I really appreciate the support but I wouldn't steer away from them for it. I knew the terms when I agreed. While I appreciate when brands provide a watch to help support the channel and recognize the work involved, I primarily make my reviews to help give back to the enthusiast community. Cheers

I think blue mete should also have blue bezel
@JonathanTReviews3 жыл бұрын
I went back and forth on which way I'd prefer it. Fortunately, Kyle is going to offer both the blue and black bezels as pictured and the same without the solid first 20 minute section as inexpensive options. This will allow customization to taste. Cheers

Nice review, I looked at these when they came out. Seems like a great value 👌. I'm not a big fan of the bezel quarter being lumed. I subscribed.

Thank you! I agree, you get a lot of watch for the money and dials that are tough (and in some cases impossible) to find elsewhere. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming variants. Cheers

I prefer the bezel insert on the upcoming Cero as well. Still plenty of lume but with a cleaner appearance without the solid 15 minutes. I appreciate the support!

@@JonathanTReviews I got the Zelos white dial with stainless steel bezel to avoid the bright 1/4 lume. For about 20 years I was making watches but my eyes got older and I started modifying pistols. Now with so many micro brands, watches are interesting again. I still have 20 watches 1/2 made. I need to do show some watches on my gun channel, I bet there is some crossover.

They recently did a very reasonable batch of Cudas I believe and may offer another batch. They were excellent deals on exotic dials. Full retail can be a tough pill to swallow with many watches.

Is a true meteorite?

Yes, it's an actual slice of meteorite, just heat treated to bring out the colors of the metal. They have a natural meteorite version as well. Cheers

Thanks! I didn't have functional issues with any mine. The only minor issue I can recall was lume shadowing on the widest part of the hour hand. With the Seiko NH movements, they should be reliable and are easily swapped if you have any issues. Cheers
