Interesting you say that, before Streep got the status she did they were looking to cast her in Alien. If Weaver had been cast in Deer Hunter instead they could have had each other's careers. I think Weaver has had more fun overall though.

they both are definitely strong ladies/actresses, love them both. but i think yeah....streep couldn't have done what weaver did in alien. sigourney has an intensity in her eyes and maybe more, that streep doesn't. but both are legends, imo.

Sigourney Weaver is one class act. She's got this sui generis charisma thing going on. I've loved every movie she been in, from "Year of Living Dangerously" to "Death and the Maiden" to "The Ice Storm" and of course, all the Alien movies. She's terrific no matter who her character is.

James Cameron has said a few times, as he's discussed the new Pandora land at Disney's Animal Kingdom, that the next 5 movies (yes 5) are a continuation of the story so, logically, she is likely a spirit of some sort now.

This woman's charisma is just incalculable - Presidential infact! Sigourney's just fascinating, captivating and extremely attractive! The fact that the Academy Award has thus far eluded her is unbelievable considering her fantastic repertoire of work.... Working Girl and Gorillas In The Mist are two such movies she should have won the AA for, hands down. Glenn Close is another phenomenol screen talent who is also unfortunate in that she's never took home the gong. Interesting fact: Sigourney is half English. Her mother hailed from here in the UK and was herself an actress and Sigourney is also a descendant of King Edward I of England which makes her around the 18th cousin to the present incumbent, Elizabeth II....... Still very distantly related but interesting nonetheless. She just has it all Sigourney; Charisma, humour, talent, presence, beauty, star quality, intelligence (both cerebral and emotional), authority and charm. .....Her only apparent flaw? Her contempt for President Trump. He's a fucking fantastic leader and Statesman and head and shoulders above the repugnant pig and crook that is Hillary! The US won't realise it yet, but one day will......they dodged a bullet with Hillary not winning the election. Donald will prove to be a great President. After that small digression, Sigourney is a fucking force to be reckoned with. Love her!!!! ❤ Chris (UK).

From me to Sigourney: I never have, nor will I ever, agree with the curse that was cast upon the woman. I never have wanted to rule over anyone. I stayed loyal to my mom, and that's because I cherish her. I kept her safe until the very last breath came out of her. I wish I could've done more. Unfortunately, mom passed away in a hospital, but fortunately she passed in her sleep, and she didn't suffer. While she was alive, when ever she needed me, I was there. I kept her out of nursing homes, and I stayed with her all of the time. There were many many nights when I stayed up with mom holding her hand and telling her how much I love her. I remember how I'd sneak bottled water into her room and give her drinks every time she cried for water. I didn't want mom to feel any discomfort. I love her, but now she's gone and it hurts like hell. I admit it! It hurts like hell.
