I don't think that's fair. Interrupting the sigil or soundstone attacks with Freya gives you the best possible chance to punish Gná. And if you upgrade Freya's Valkyrie skills all the way, she can follow up those interrupts with a dash that takes off a decent chunk of the health bar

Man I disagree. The hardest beserkers were tougher than the hardest valkyries and gna was worse than sigrun on Gmgow. Sigruns stomp move was tougher to avoid, but besides that gna was definitely harder. She took me like 5 days to beat. Sigrun took me about 4 or 5 hours.

For some reason Sigrun wasn’t as hard for me as Gna. I recall not taking as much damage vs Sigrun and was able to dodge her attacks fairly easily. Gna’s damage output and Bifrost is what made her difficult for me. It took me like 20+ tries to beat Gna while it took me around 10+ for Sigrun both on the second hardest difficulty. I think the reasoning for that is the runic attacks being nerfed from the first game. They were my go to cop out.

They did nerf the use of runic attacks with the inclusion of the Stagger resistance for bosses. But at the same time, we also have the ability to spam our runic more often. So in a way, it is a fair compromise And yes, Bifrost is quite dangerous and I wish we had more tools to benefit from it

I think it really depends on who you fight first. I fought Gna first and beating her, I felt like it made me a better player. So I went back to GOW 2018 a fought all the Valkyries and because of my experience fighting Gna, I wiped the floor with them. Once I did fight Sigrun she was still a tough opponent but I was familiar with the moves and that really helped. But don't get we wrong she is no walk in the park.

It gets easier. I use to eat shit with sigrun on GMGOW+ with everything maxed out and multiple speed runs but now I can do no damage more often than not. She’s fun:)

After beating both games on Give Me God of War difficulty Sigrun was the harder fight. She took me like 5 days of straight fighting her to win. I beat Gna and the berserker king in an evening. Not to mention the item and companion differences. Gna is able to be punished by Freya, but Sigrun has nothing for Atreus to take advantage of. The addition of the spear gives another source of damage for Kratos and a combo extender. Not to mention having two more runics and different rage options made Gna the easier fight.

As someone who played against both Sigrun and Gna so many times (and even the berserker King), and defeats Gna at least 20 times daily (it becomes my ritual), here is my humble opinion: 1- Sigrun has more movesets than Gna, I was able to figure out all Gna fight patterns in a fraction of the time it took me to figure out Sigrun. 2- I think Sigrun is tankier than Gna, not 100% sure, but what I am 100% sure about is that Gna is not the tankiest enemy in Ragnarok, that title goes to the berserker king, I fought each one of them tens and tens of times in many different builds and strategies and the berserker king HP is 10-20% more than Gna. 3- You are stronger now in Ragnarok: you have more arsenal in your disposal, you have the Axe, The Blades, and the Spear, 6 runic attacks, 3 option of rage, the gauge system (when full you can press L1+triangle), the skill tree for each weapon has more moves and combos espicially Frost Awaken (hold triangle) for the Axe, and Flame Wiplash (mesh triangle) for the Blades. 4- the RPG system in Ragnarok is simplar but more effective, the variety of the practical and available options Ragnarok gives is much more than 2018. 5- in addition to points 3 & 4, the combat now is faster, more responsive, and more offensive with the given additional options in Ragnarok. With a proper build you can keep an offensive momentum in your fight against Gna until she dies. This could not happen against Sigrun before the New game + release.

I was tempted to say that Sigrun had more health than GNA but as you mentioned, gear didn’t get good in GOW 2018 until New Game plus Dropped. So it is hard to know exactly who is tankier since we have all those builds in Ragnarök

Sigrun for sure. Back in 2018 when Runic damage & cooldown weren't nerfed yet, and I could do the refresher Runic combo (6-8 successive nukes) to immediately delete half her lifebar at the start of the fight, she'd still come back and destroy me. I think the difference is that Gna wants to win the fight by playing keep away while Sigrun just wants to kill you so doesn't give any breathing space.

I would have to say Gna is harder because she has a sense of unpredictiveness compared to sigrun and even King Hrolf Sigrun and King Hrolf use a combo of previous abilities from their lesser versions But Gna is completely unpredictable and can chain a bunch of unblockables and is a lot more aggressive with a bunch of dirty tricks Gna brings a challenge to even veterans who have beat sigrun, the Valkyries, the berserkers and King Hrolf

Agreed once again even with upgraded armor to max sigrun was a handful, you can slaughter gna with upgraded gear, her best mix up attack is those Valkyrie shards but they’re not that good if you’re far enough away, plus she’ll run from you if you start getting out on her, sigrun would not. I also think king kraki is harder than gna.

To be honest, I found Gna to be much harder than Sigrun. Sigrun had a lot of moves, but they were easy to react to. In comparison, Gna has a few moves which look extremely similar (projectiles from her wings), but one you have to dodge and the other one you have to block, get it wrong and you get one shot. I also found that Gna's wing stab was extremely quick and basically teleports across the screen. I struggled with both, but found Gna harder despite being more experienced when playing Ragnarok.

Sigrun is the most difficult due to the sheer size of her health bar and massive damage. But Gná does do one thing Sigrun doesn't: mix up her attacks. Sigrun has the same combos the whole fight. Gná's get longer, more complicated, and less predictable the less health she has. It adds another level of complexity to the fight. Plenty of times, I would charge in expecting a chance to punish only to be met with a new attack that wasn't there at the start of the fight.

Gmgow gna is definitely harder than Gmgow sigrun and king hrolfi. On normal mode, gna was easier than hrolfi. In Gmgow she was WAY harder, simply because she has SOOO much health and she changes her stomp move near the end of the fight. She staggers her “FOR VALHALLA!” move and there are big bifrost traps that appear on the ground. Fuck that move.

With the runic hyper armor buff that gna gets you can also stagger with immolation or permafrost (L1+Triangle) as well as rage. In my opinion if this super armor wasn’t in the game I genuinely believe half the people who struggled with gna would have mowed over her in like 2 attempts 🤣

King Kraki is easy. His damage is trash and you don't need to be specifc about how you defend. You can either block, parry, dodge or double dodge for almost every move. Most moves require a dodge in a specific direction with the valkaries, but the king is very slow and forgiving. With the valkaries, you make a mistake you get hit. You get hit, you have to eat the follow up. If you don't hit rage in time you die.

ON TOP of the fact that half of GNa’s moveset is from sigrun if you ACTUALLY beat her then youd understand HALF the battle gna has ZERO blinding moves that REQUIRE you to look away also sigruns health was somewhere between 12-15k whilst gna is between 9-10k Only stat is that GNa has higher stagger than sigrun but the damage output between the two is absolutely insane 2-3 MAYBE 4-5 hits and sigrun ruins your run this dude literally showed a health build that you can take 10+ hits and still be alive from gna you havent watched a single video on ANY of them and you played yourself dont lie next time no one agrees or can even think how you made that statistic

The real answer to the question: Freya (not gameplay wise, obviously, but in-universe wise). ;-) Also, you DON'T use Blessings of the Frost against Sigrun!? 😲But, but, it makes the fight so much shorter and easier. 😲

Thing is, Freya was quite Threatening when she showed up as Queen Vanadis. But I think they intentionally nerfed her since she was a main encounter and It would be fatal to have a strong opponent in the main story. I wish we could have seen her full potential. And when It comes to blessing of The Frost, For my first playthrough, I don’t think I paid attention to that 🤔

I couldn’t have described the bosses in GOWR any better, literally all they do is run and when chase after them u get punished for it cuz of something silly not because the actual fight is hard

Ahem…You can defeat Gna in 20s. And your argument cannot be relevant since it has nothing to do with the bosses but EVERYTHING to do with your gear. Furthermore, we had to wait for new game plus to get gear powerful enough to defeat Sigrun under 20s while new game plus isn’t even out yet and Gna gets wrecked in 20.

Poor Gna, she thought she was the real antagonist but King Kraki stole the show. I think the scariest part of that fight is having your health bar afflicted with bifrost. That’s when you get Sweaty

For me , Gna was harder...i think couse i already knew sigruns moves when i fought her.

Only the berserker king was fun and challenging. It took me 4 hours to beat him. The rest was straight up trash. I hope they fix the game in the ng+ update. Truth is i want my money back. Wouldn't buy it even if it cost 10 euros. It was a disappointing game or rather a disappointing wannabe marvel interactive movie.

Sigrun wasn’t that hard to me, took me 15 times to beat but I lost all of my skills in GoW and ragnarok got me struggling so hard I actually can’t beat any of the bosses

All ima say is I struggled with Gna more than Sigrun but mainly because Gna did more damage than Sigrun she wasn’t as punishing as Sigrun but her blows did way more damage and that’s where I agree with u if u did something u weren’t meant to do the whole fight was basically over
