This is still the most important and most frustrating training video I've ever watched (and I continue to come back and watch it over and over because of how important it is). You completely describe and demonstrate what I'm stuck/working on and I still do not seem to be learning the lesson. PLEASE do a follow up to this with drills/suggestions on how to improve transitions!! Anyone with good drill suggestions who's reading this I would really appreciate suggestions. Preferably, drills that can be done in a single lane with limited range space (multiple targets on single backing board etc). Thanks in advance to anyone with ideas.

I've seen her winning big time shooting competitions, and you can literally see where she improved between wins. It's no surprise that she's continued to the point where Sig probably begged her on hands and knees to join Team Sig!
@davidlaird67366 жыл бұрын
Lot's of rude comments on here. She didn't teach me anything- vulgar because shes a girl and attractive? Can we show this hard working lady some respect? This is her first video attempt. I don't think she made Cadence very clear either but there is a right way and a wrong way to ask questions. Think of your shooting as a beat to a song. Start with a slow beat so that your shots are evenly spaced throughout your shooting of multiple targets. And start with 3 targets first so you get at least two transitions. Yes you still aim. Gradually increase speed or cadence (the beat) until you get as fast as you want. To make it more complicated add additional targets until you can do a plate rack. Sig makes a line of airsoft guns and targets for those of you without big budgets that can allow you to practice all this in your back yard. Its not entirely about recoil. Mostly its trigger cadence and smooth transitions. Take what you practiced in the back yard and reinforce it at the range with live ammo. Remember your training should be 70% dry fire 30% live fire. My two cents. Lena, Great job! Congrats on Sig and tell the family I said hi.

The sig p320 was a pistol that came out to late, like many other officers and departments the P226 classic was the standard with Glock gaining a foothold in the law enforcement & security market. When the P320 came around Glock had grabbed a huge advantage with a pistol that just works with only 34 parts with little to no maintenance in every caliber. Before Sigsauer came our there was Berretta and those silver Smith& Wesson 500 series pistols. The P320 has one of the smoothest striker triggers you can get and they work with the same reliability as Glock pistols and even with the military in America going with them still, Glock has taken over to the point where the U.S. secret service has gone to them in lieu of their 357 sig caliber. Sigsauers heyday was the classic line which a few agencies still use here in 2019 but not so much as in days past. I own one sig that I can carry on duty if I want which is the P220 45acp stainless.

Well, if any of y’all who are complaining knew how to shoot and the mental mechanics of shooting and a trigger press, you’d see this was a “tip” on what might help you transition better in between shots instead of just trying to double tap each target like an inaccurate trigger spanker. Also, I’ve owned soooo many guns and the 320 is probably one of the best guns I have had between rugers, glock, S&W. Beauty of it is...? Who the f cares, it’s all shooter preference. If u don’t like the 320, doesn’t mean other people don’t have to, get off it and find something you can shoot the best with and stick with it. Be a professional. End of rant

Just this past weekend I took my new P320 Legion to the range. At the one other shooting session I've had I shot 1 box of Lawman 124 FMJ. This time, after 2 shots I had a jam. When clearing I saw the rim of the case was ripped off and the casing was still in the barrel. Then I reloaded and fired. Jam. Case wouldn't eject. Tested the bullets on my Baretta 92. No problem. Tried again on Sig. Jam. When I got home to inspect the gun I found: extractor sheared in half and a cracked frame. Called Sig, they said to take it up with the bullet manufacturer because it was not a gun manufacturing failure. They want, with a discount, $230 in parts so I can repair it myself. Incredibly disappointed in what I thought was a reputable company. See broken extractor and cracked frame in the picture.

I'll probably be buying a P320 or two after the dust settles on the recall. I own a pair of P250s I just purchased which I've fallen in love with. I know the striker fire trigger of the P320 will be faster than the DAO of the P250 as it will require less movement of the trigger. I hope you will continue these videos along with your mother and father.
@jsanford017 жыл бұрын
LVLouisCyphre I have the P320 pre-recall. The only way the pistol will discharge is if the pistol lands on the ground a certain way-dropped with the barrel facing straight up and the right angle. If someone is dropping their pistol AT ALL, they should not even be shooting. If you are savvy with gun ownership, there is nothing to worry about.
@LVLouisCyphre7 жыл бұрын
My apologies to Lena Miculek on my rant on this reply; I mean absolutely no disrespect. My first firearm instructor back in 1992 made this quite clear which I agreed with long before I even picked up a firearm for the first time, "Murphy's Law is everywhere." You cannot guarantee how a firearm falls if you're in a situation where you fighting to retain your firearm. From 1993-1995, I was in uniformed security, alarm response and bail enforcement. While my risk of being involved for a weapon retention incident at that time may not be as high of a risk as a commissioned law enforcement officer, it was was painfully obvious to me that it could happen based on my professional experience. I want to know what you'd tell a deceased person's family who got struck by a bullet from the discharge of your dropped P320 should that unfortunate incident happen. I commend Dallas PD for making this issue that resulted in a recall even if it's voluntary. Until the P320 has been resolved to the point to where SIG-Sauer's upper brass and Dallas PD is willing to stake their lives on it, I will not have a P320 in my home. I will refuse to instruct someone with one unless it's a post recall and repaired P320 as I don't know their proficiency with a firearm and they may very well drop it while being instructed and guess what, we have a negligent discharge and possibly someone hurt or killed. I hope SIG-Sauer customer service is reading this. While a student's P320 is being repaired by the voluntary recall, I will teach them using one my P250s which I've fallen in love with with. I have the same staunch view on automotive recalls. I have to take my Jeep back to the dealer for a botched recall repair. Oh BTW, I've been a CCW/firearm instructor since Halloween 2005; NRA and Utah certified. I was Nevada certified from 2008-2012 until I let it lapse because of my uncertainty of me remaining in Nevada. Because of the recent Nevada recognition statute enacted in 2015, the only reason to get a Nevada CFP is if you're going to live here or need to NICS exemption to buy long guns in Nevada. If you don't live here, you're ok on an Arizona, Florida or Utah license or permit which is why I only teach a multistate class primarily geared towards people who travel legally armed.

I do have one issue with this type of shooting. It does not train the shooter to process the situation. Just shoot shoot shoot fast impedes the shooter from processing who are the threats.

Just make sure you use a two handed grip. What ever you do, do not drop the Sig P320. As soon as my P320 returns from the voluntary “up-grade”, recall let’s be truthful about the P320. It’s a dam RECALL. I am going to sell mine or trade it in on something I will trust & have more faith in a hand gun. My P320 was my first Sig pistol & my last. Everyone raves about Sig quality & what a great firearms they make. I purchased the P320 & before I can take it to the range they are having a voluntary recall on the dam pistol. I purchased my P320 now been waiting at least 3 months or longer to shoot it, but we have to wait for shipping instructions & mailing labels. Six to eight weeks for repair from Sig. The whole situation with the P320 is a cluster mess. Sorry I spent my very hard earned money on A Sig Sauer product! Thanks

Hey the U 556, I couldn't agree with you more. I have a p320rx and I totally regret buying it. It is my first Sig and surely my last. I had to send it back to fix the Romeo one sight twice. Then, the " voluntary recall" was a complete exercise in denial and an insult to anyone's intelligence. They insisted the gun was safe despite all logical evidence to the contrary. I couldn't shoot this gun from mid July to mid October.due to all the issues surrounding it. As to its build quality, the takedown lever needs some kind of tool to rotate it for field stripping because it binds so much with the frame. Also, the slide moves vertically at the muzzle so much I thought there was a problem but was told" they all do that". The concept on this pistol is good, the execution couldn't be worse. I'll stick with my glocks and M&P pistols from now on. Th Sig company is a disgrace, they made fools of themselves.
