That's the longest Degville interview I've seen yet. No offence Tony 😆 He's right. fantasy sex and violence is never as good as the dream on TV or maybe I'm just I'm doing it wrong 🤔 Hard to believe Neil X also couldn't play when Tony asked him to join the band. I thought he was already a guitarist cos if not he sure as hell learnt it quick. And he was brilliant. ( Did he have lessons?:) He's up there with Johnny Thunders and Mick Ronson. SSS wouldn't have been as good with any other guitarist. I didn't dig the Elvis 1999 thing tho after punk. But to be honest before punk I used to listen to my dad's 1950's Elvis albums. And even Lemmy Motorhead said back in the day you were lucky to have Elvis come along cos there was nothing like it.

@@twistedspanner Yes he did say that BUT i wouldn't take every word the Sputnik boys say literally.. They were into myth making & media manipulation... Selling ideas etc. Whatever they say in interviews both Neal X & Tony James were pretty solid on their instruments & as song writers... Tony co-wrote all those Generation X songs after all
