This is a total "eh" piece [english pronunciation ""hey" with a silent H]. The "eh"; it is at the same time heartbreaking, hopeful, sad, endearing and tragic, as well as the most profound feeling of love and joy of life. The "eh" is hard to explain, because I still haven't found a word in English that describes this emotion. It's the reason I cannot see animals in pain , or even watch them prancing in joy on a screen. Why I get tearful watching a mother and daughter eating ice cream silently together as I'm walking into the grocery store. It's coming a bit close to the impermanence of life, and not really knowing how to deal ... hence the slow breath out .. the eh....

finally some uplifting music 😭 but seriously: it perfectly encapsulates the dread of knowing that we're sliding into a catastrophe and absolutely nothing is being done about it. in a way it perfectly represents our future: a hot, dying earth which grows mostly inhabitable for people living on it. it's a truly moving piece of art

Google Translate does come up with Blood Rock. Thyme does have blöð (not blóð) in it, but I have no Icelandic verbal skills so I can't say one way or t'other. However, I'd say the video gives off Mars-like feelings, which quite literally is the blood rock of our solar system. For the moment, I'll go with Blood Rock until I can find some other good reason to accept Thyme or an herb.

Brilliant. Sigur Rós has always composed and produced brilliant music. The kind of music you'd expect to be playing when your soul transcends this physical realm. I love the idea of the video, and it certainly goes well with the composition. I would have just done it backward: Start with the large group of deceased beings, progress with more spread-out deceased beings, and end with 2 still alive beings running away together to nail down the idea that there will always be hope as long as we have each other.
