Thank you for the detailed and more importantly accurate info on resetting the oil service record indicator. Other videos that claim to cover my e70 X5 had me doing a bunch of other unrelated steps that produced no results. Appreciate the no-nonsense explanation!!

Thanks a lot, solved my problem because the service was blocking the engine from starting even after I put Engine Oil.

@@AM-dl7ot Unfortunately yes, but it was my fault, because the services was -700km of engine oil (even though I putt engine oil way earlier, I forgot to reset the settings). At that moment it arrived -700km at the computer, it immediately stopped the engine reported as engine failure. I couldn't start it without re-setting this option.

Excellent video but I have a question, how do you change the distance interval for the front brake pads? Already reset the service per your video indications but the interval for the next inspection is set at 1100kms and this is to short of an interval because I'm replacing new front brake pads.

Brake pads also have a sensor, you may need to replace while doing the pads so the reset can work correctly

Dont actually start the engine. Turn the car off, and then without putting your foot on the brake hit the "start engine" button twice.
