Sikh Turbans: Can They Ever Come off?

Great video and production Singh! I wrestled for 8 years in school. In the sport of wrestling you have to have a head covering/cap on if your hair is longer than a few inches, otherwise it would get in the way, so it worked out for me. What I did was to first tie a small turban (about 2 meters) around my joora, head, and halfway on ears, (although in regular dastar this would be my 'bunga' - only around joora). Then I would tie what would usually be my under dastar all the around and making sure to tie under my ears to anchor it into them. This would often still come off in practice, however, I would put the headgear onto this dastar and it would keep it very stable during wrestling.

I've been playing basketball for years, wearing a simple patka has always been fine. Now that I play cricket, I simply do my juda on the back of my head and tie a small patka for wearing a helmet

So thank you for starting that. I started keeping my kes and tying a dastar 1,5 years ago and it still feels pretty new. Yesterday I went to boxing practice the first time after several years and I couldn't find any way to tie my dastar that wouldn't get loose. So I ended up tying my hair in a bun on the back of my head without covering it which worked out. I also want to do wrestling and MMA and have been thinking a lot about how to cover my my hair. I don't know a way that works though so I will probably continue to keep my hair in a bun without covering it when I go training.

Hey @doehri the smaller turban (keski) is usually cut out from a larger turban. So let’s say you buy a normal turban, first you cut it in half of the width and then you cut the length depending on how long you want it to be.
