The Sikhism religion isn't pushed because Sikhs don't believe in converting others. It's a message of peace and as said in the video we already believe everybody is the same, humanity is the sect. So doesn't matter what religion you are, as long as you believe in God and doing the right things, you are already praying and doing right by that one God! Ik onkar!

Awesome reaction guys! Liked and Subbed! As a Sikh, I’d like to add some correction, context, and further explanation below. :) The word 'Guru' takes a deeper meaning in Sikh tradition. When asked by his spiritual interlocutors who he was, Guru Nanak said he has 3 forms. These are the temporary form (Body), Gur-shabad or timeless wisdom of God (expressed in Sikh Scripture), and Timeless and Formless primal and permeating force (੧ਓੱ ik-onkar) - alluding to enlightenment or ego-transcendence with the help of Gur-shabad (2nd form). The Sikh Tradition has 12 Gurus. The 2 others are *Guru-Granth* (Holy Scripture) containing the wisdom of Guru that can transform all humans to achieve enlightenment and ego-transcendence, and the *Guru-Khalsa* being the collective living body that has been transformed by Guru's wisdom and is equal in status of 10 Gurus. The voice of this collective represents the divine voice of the Guru, and hence the Gurus are still with us in the present, and open to all to become its part. Sikhs sociologically, politically, and ideologically transform with time and are guided by the timeless wisdom/spirit of the ‘Guru’. The decisions made by the collective of Khalsa through a qualitative democratic system applies to all Sikhs in the world. The scripture does not provide rules, its all poetry. Rules comes from the decision of the Khalsa collective. Guru Nanak’s experience was religious enlightenment from where Sikh philosophy flows. “God spoke to him” is a casual saying that basically means his realization represents eradication of ego (explored later in the video) and realizing the ultimate reality or timeless truth, loosely translated as the word “God”. No one really knows about where or how he “disappeared”, but the fact that he wasn’t around for 3 days while everyone, including the minister of the town, looked for him is a corroborated historical fact. 500 years is modern history from the POV of historians. Guru Arjan’s reason for execution is not explored maybe because of political correctness, however, the reason was that the radical islamist preachers and a corrupt hindu priest were close councils of the emperor Jahangir, who had convinced the emperor that he will loose power as the Guru’s followers were increasing and they included former Muslims. He was given the choice of conversion to Islam or execution. He chose execution, making the concept of martyrdom for Sikh way of life central to Sikh ethos. This English translation on “One God” for Sikh symbol is a relic of british-colonial past of Punjab , where the English used the Christian concept of monotheism to interpret Sikh religion. However, within the Sikh literature, a more accurate translation/meaning is “One Primal force, which is the creator, nourisher, and destroyer/transformer of all”. The whole of Sikh scripture expands on this concept and its experience through poetry and music, leading anyone who engages with it truthfully to the same realization of all fully enlightened people before Sikh Tradition existed, realization of Guru Nanak, and proceeding Sikh Gurus. Hence, bringing forth the idea that all human beings have the capacity, in fact a human spiritual *need*, while living now and *not in after-life*, to become fully God-realized/enlightened via ego-transcendence - a revolutionary idea that takes the power away from corrupt priesthood. The concept of “Oneness” can be understood in different traditions, however, the Sikh Gurus also make it clear that other paths can and have been corrupted. For instance, the idea of truth being exclusive to one religion is widely held by a lot of Christians and Muslims. The Sikhs Gurus didn’t shy away from pointing out the fallacies of other traditions, but also maintained that enlightenment is not exclusive to one path. Although good in intention, there is a commonly mis-translated quote of temple and mosque being the same. If Temple and Mosque are the same and Hindu and Muslim prayer are same too then why would the Gurus set up their own institutions and way of life? The meaning of this quote comes from a context that the idea of prayer and needing a congregation to pray with is universal human need, but this can be corrupted by meaningless ritualism. This reconciles with Guru Nanak’s criticism and correction of various ritual practices conducted by Hindus and Muslims. The concept of reincarnation can be reconciled with the scientific truth that Energy cannot be destroyed, but only transferred. One can look at this from different layers of analysis, whether mundane, scientific, or philosophical - the idea is the same. The process of creation, sustenance, and destruction/transformation (destruction is basically transformation of energy) is a fundamental primal force of "God" expressed in the sacred symbol of ੧ਓੱ (Ik-Oankar). As far as remembering your past life is concerned, the idea of who we think we are, is the temporary construct - *Ego*, and does die with you. However, your karma is attached to your soul and decides the quality of your next life. Human life is precious as we can attain enlightenment now and be free to the point that even the "angel of death" (mythically speaking) will be afraid to take the fully-enlightened ones (as they cannot be reincarnated and are already free) Sikhi does share a lot of common themes with Buddhism but some point of irreconcilable divergence is that the Buddhist conception of God is almost atheistic, hence its appeal to the new age community. Additionally Sikhi does believe violence is an inherent part of life and nature and that virtuous people should be better at violence (self-defence) in principle and action than evil people, and hence doesn’t subscribe to pacifism of Buddhism. Maya can mean wealth in certain mundane context but the context of this quote is that maya is the "illusion of the materialism" that our desires constantly chases and gets lost into, leading humans to forget the bigger picture of the interconnectedness of all humans, and by extension, of all reality. This test of human sacrifice was to make the collective Khalsa the next Guru. Each Guru were tested before passing on the Guru-ship. The idea is that the willingness to sacrifice one’s life is a pre-requisite for ego-transcendence and enlightenment, and to do so for Sikh ideals and principles elevates one to the highest status within Sikh Religion. As per Sikh history, the Guru killed a goat, often used for meat consumption. Amrit or holy water used for initiation means Nectar which has some connotations to the idea of drink of immortality drank by the gods in Greek mythos. Guru Nanak thought that one who transcends the ego has become immortal and one with the immortal force, hence elevating the human consciousness from the mundane animalistic tendencies to timeless virtues, and upon death is freed from the cycle of reincarnation. The Guru transform humans to position higher than mythological Indian and Greek gods, who themselves succumbed to ego. Singh and Kaur are usually middle name but can also be surname. Surnames still have a purpose to identify the family lineage of a Sikh to avoid inter-marrying between the same bloodline. Other credible source say that Singh means Tiger and Kaur means prince - indicating that women too can become rulers/leaders. Kes or uncut crown-hair is the main article of identity for Sikhs. It is also an ode to all enlightened masters of different traditions, who kept their head hair uncut. The comb is “Kanga” not “Karga”, it symbolizes that Sikhs are not to live a life of an ascetic, who matt their hair, but to be active in society. boxer shorts are worn for modesty and mobility. Sexual restraint is not in the context of abrahamic faiths where we think sex is unholy. We think it's a natural act but can be destructive to one’s character if lust becomes corrupted, and feed into our ego. Again, Sikh practices always goes back to spiritual discipline. The foundation stone for Golden Temple was laid by Guru himself, not his Sufi-Muslim friend - Mian Mir. This false myth was created by Muslim Historian Butteh Shah who spread a lot of falsehoods and slander towards the Sikhs. Sikh contemporary sources counter this claim but it’s been perpetuated in the mainstream without proper research into Sikh sources. Nevertheless, the principle of doors being open to all remains.

I am from Sikh religion, sir and in Sikhism it is taught that there is no caste. No riches no poverty. The human beings of the whole world are equal and all are the children of the same God and we are taught in Sikhism that no matter what religion a person belongs to in the world. , if he is in trouble then our guru says that it is necessary to stand with him because if a person is in trouble no matter which religion he is in, then in Sikhism it is taught that help him, stand by him, if any Even when oppression is happening, it is taught in Sikhism to stand with him and help him, and in Sikhism it is taught that if oppression is a sin, then tolerating oppression is also a sin, neither oppress anyone nor tolerate someone's oppression always stand with the truth🙏🙏
