I love the sound of his voice and the way he talked at this age. I think it is much different today.

Everyone's voice changes as they age and the way you speak, you don't speak as fast either as you get older

I love how consistent the band are in their separate interviews when asked similar questions. they really had it all figured out as a group. genius musicians and friends too ❤

I love how he says that Deacy usually only writes one song per album, and doesn't have a big output. However, the one song he does write is usually one of the best on the album, in my opinion.
@reelgirl85444 жыл бұрын
Brian's my favourite and he's usually so diplomatic but his massive mop of hair must've interferred with his thought process with that comment. John may not have been the prolific songwriter that Freddie and Brian were but Deacon's contributions were some of Queen's best. (And that's not even counting the Deacy amplifier that helped Brian achieve his unique sound.)
@Nina-oi1qk4 жыл бұрын
@@reelgirl8544 But John's best work was from 1979 onwards; Another one bites the dust, I want to break free etc. all later in their career. This is 1977. So I dont blame Brian for saying what he did.
@reelgirl85444 жыл бұрын
@@Nina-oi1qk Yes, that's true. Just to clarify, it's not what Brian said but rather what he didn't say. I've listened to dozens of interviews of Brian and he's always gracious, articulate and knowledgeable. It's just this one interview where he seems like his mind is elsewhere. Maybe in the dungeon with Peaches?

Mentioning the 'new guy Paul'....the guy I hated in Bohemian Rhapsody, I suspect. I'd like to know how he really was within the band, Freddie's life, when he left and what happened after. I've heard simply that the 'rest of the band' couldn't stand him. That's understandable. Back to the interview...

Paul was the band's manager's assistant until he started working only for Freddie , I think?

I hate this interviewer. Every question insinuates they're doing something wrong and is designed to put them on the defense. Was this the style of 70s interviewing or were people just particularly hard on Queen? It's like the media was constantly questioning their authenticity and trying to knock them down.

I agree. Why is Brian having to answer to him about their work? Can tell Brian is irritated, but ever the gentleman he keeps his cool. Love him!🎸

Deacon was a bloody wonderful bass player but apart from "Misfire", "You & I", "Spread your wings", "if you can't beat them" Need your loving", + any live version of" Another one bites the dust " are good but I've always hated"who needs you" ,"pain is so close to pleasure " & "i want to break free" for me they ruined the album's they were on , "you're my best friend " wasn't a particular fave of mine either but i tolerated it because the rest of the album was stunning & lets face it the masterpiece that is" A Night at the Opera" would feel pretty weird without it . Since i was 9 years old back in 73 I've loved & Still love this band they seriously were different class ❤️
